games are like movies or books, you don't grow out of them anymore, you're always going to have fun. i remember my first actual game though, i was 8 and got Ocarina of Time, dismissed it as the worst and most boring game ever, picked up Duke Nukem 64, hell yeeaaa, my real first game!
love this game mode, although it requires the bomb tech to be sensible and the team to be equally smart to move in unison, otherwise, your scrambling to defuse all three bombs in the last 3 minutes. however, my favourite gametype is last defense a form of Domination+SnD

i agree some of those points are valid. the game overall lacked the scale and ambition of the original one. although the story of DA2 was very good (debatable) but the fact the first one was about saving the world and this one is generally about saving a city, doesnt quite cut it. I can assure people here that most people are happy with this SOCOM. Putting in 4 to 6 hours into the beta gives you an idea of what Zipper direction for the game was. They've basically made the gameplay accessible and that COD/MAG influence is very apparent, this is a good thing cause we'll be playing with larger communities rather than the bitter nostalgic haters that are still wishing upon that magical tactical fps that never comes. Dreamcast has the best, PS3's is the most smooth. Hate the PS1 startup. i remember the gamecube one if you pressed Z i think it sounded like a monkey. Don't like the 360 startup, blinds me with white light when playing in the dark.

unless BF3 has a marketing budget of around half a billion dollars it'll barely scratch what COD will sell.

its a video game, keep it straight, gays are a small minority just like african americans or asians yet we dont see them as protaganists (although DA gives you the oppurtunity to do so, i speak on a more general scale). i find it rather disturbing having that kind of stuff.

Although, I wouldn't mind another Warhawk, I was expecting along the lines of Starhawk which would have been an amazing concept. (just remembered how the guy with the enemy flag use to jump onto his friends Warhawk and his friend would fly him to our base lol Archipeglo was the map i think)
I think its rather unfair for people to go forward into SOCOM 4 and expect SOCOM 2, this same case occurred with Halo 3 or Halo Reach where people just wanted updated graphics for a game that essentially should be Halo 2. Games have become mainstream now and must cater to all audiences, this is a difficult task to accomplish. I think Classic mode, ladders and clans should enable a competitive community.
