oh lord! you have blessed us with the voice of reason! .......on second thought lets gut those COD players for having the insolence and audacity to suggest COD being not of the devil.
its a good argument, i can imagine Rage being better, although graphics are a key component of a top tier game they don't necessarily make or break the game i.e. Nintendo games, Halo, Fallout, Oblivion, Infamous etc. BF3 is being hyped way too much, even though it'll loose out to COD sales wise and have a very close aggregate review scores. but than again i see Skyrim and Uncharted 3, both completely different games eclipsing all these shooters.
battle system and powers were enjoyable, similar to dragon age 2 but you can tell from the demo the story was going to be generic and not very good.
Gears is no doubt top tier, but Uncharted is a class ahead of the Gears franchise, a more appropriate comparison would be Uncharted and Mass Effect but than again ME is multiplatform now.
flawless logic right here!
Wipeout HD runs at 1080p! hell yeAAA!!!
1. $450 vs $299 or $200 for something like the PS3 which does blu ray and like you said "more than just play games" i can see which option a college student or 16 year old will prefer, besides the point most gamers are this demographic.
2. PS3/360 doesnt play wii motes cause they got they're own wii motes: kinect and move. My practical point had nothing to do with controllers. More to do with the fact most of your friends are playing COD on PSN and Live.
The man is simply sharing his vision for the PS4 that it should be more female and accessible rather than a graphics oriented machine. it doesn't mean the console won't have good graphics. this head of spain portugal has zero to no influence on the R&D department. thats besides the point that his opinion is a good one.
some is indeed the keyword-however take note that PC fans arrogance is also rather pathetic, commenting on Uncharted 3 headline on how its graphics mean nothing compared to a PC, you see people like this all over games that have no association with the PC. The PC no doubt is a different and magnificent machine that transcends the consoles when it comes to hardware, however, for MOST gamers it is not practical. Not affordable, not enough third party support or first party, and all their friend...
its a respectable list, i can also see it as a safe list. no tomb raider and bf3 both games have a lot to prove where most of the games outlined in the list are successful franchises. note although battlefield is a very successful franchise, unfortunately its success today is gauged by proving its superiority over MW3, thus the billion and counting comments on n4g, youtube and all kinds of forums trying to do just this.
do tell me when a bad game sells 20 million units, because it hasn't happened EVER in gaming history.
grab your pitchforks lads, we're going to be marching to the developers HQ to answer the question that is tearing apart families, friends, brother against brother, clan member vs clan member, psn friend vs psn friend: which is better fantastic or incredible? May God help us all.
burn the witch!
quality has a direct correlation with the greater sales and has very little to do with the lack of. uncharted 2, mass effect 2, bad company 2, modern warfare have also sold well because they are good games. modern warfare 2 and black ops are also very good games, otherwise a million ppl wouldn't get on it every night to play it. they play COD because the way the game plays, you get in a lobby play 20 mins with your buddies and get out, i mean the game is loaded with features and options. ...
why all the halo hate? halo is a standard in gaming for the past decade for a reason. it innovated the fps genre when it came and to this day it has made great advances from forge (user generated content) to mutliplayer matchmaking. so starhawk being compared to it is a great praise to the game. Note it doesn't necessarily mean Starhawk will have the same gameplay but will mirror the success and addictive multiplayer of halo.
i loved the game, it was very close to being as good as origins but the single setting and the character being of lesser importance than origins was my primary problems with it. otherwise the battle system was better. a lot of side quests and the ending was really good.
makes sense
you lads need to calm down, this COD hate is getting ridiculous. honestly, not only will MW3 sell 20 million copies (outselling BF3 3:1 or maybe even 4:1) but score a very nice 8.5 to 9.5 range among the aggregate scores. COD is a winning formula, it excels at various aspects that other games have no matched as of yet. but like i said, this debate is pointless, COD will be successful with or without the haters.
this game is being hyped way too much, no doubt its going to be amazing but the level of hype which stems from the ex-COD players is ridiculous and may very well be the downfall of this game when it releases.
p.s. dont say MW3 doesn't deserve ITS hype, it does, they have a winning formula with regards to its mutliplayer that not even the 'great almighty' BF3 can match. and plz don't say BF3 is more team oriented i can name 10 games that are bigger than any battlefield...
no doubt it won't last forever, the greatest of the greatest franchises have declined but this attack on COD by the very people who have put 300 hours into the game is ridiculous, its annoying especially for those that still appreciate the series. yea you like BF3, your probably frustrated by the fact MW3 even with its 'lack of originality' and being 'just another annual expansion pack' will manage to outsell its competitor at 3:1 or 4:1 but this jealousy, arrogance, hate ...
