I think the gaming media need to stop giving the guy the attention he wants.
The single player was more interesting than Killzone 2. You didn't care for the other character other than kill Rico in Killzone 2. The online is good in Killzone 3 but it does have issues (hit detection). I love the medic and engineer class.
Sony NEEDS to market the NGP and Xperia-Play. That was probably the main issue with the original PSP (you can say piracy but other consoles/handhelds have had their share).
Was playing this game. Then the system froze. Reboot and now it doesn't read discs, no icon on the xmb. The circle in the top corner is spinning when the disc is in the PS3.
Damn I wanna finish this game off, however my PS3 doesn't read discs now :(.
Tip for Chapter 2. Have faster combos and the L1+triange counter unlocked. And use R1. Trust me that battle will make you cry.
Yeah part 2 was fantastic, chapter 2 was brutal. I enjoyed part 2 more than part 1 because it was interesting finding out the truth (I completed Part 2 in 2 hours because the story was good). Good seeing the Yakuza 4 love (sorry off topic :D).
I think people who played the Yakuza series cannot classify the genre Yakuza fits into. Some say it's a sandbox game, some say it's a brawler. I think it's a JRPG because you get a engaging storyline which comes together at the end. You can upgrade Kiryu with new moves. Plus you got other sub stories/missions and mini games to distract you from the main story path. The only people that classify it as a Japanese GTA are the reviewers (smh).
I forgot to say PS3 owne...
I thought the characters were bland. The music was great (The guy did Besaid Island in FFX). I enjoyed the combat because I did not use Auto Battle. The battles were fast paced, it made you think about strategy and what classes to use to defeat an opponent. The only thing I hated about the battle was staggering the opponents (became a chore).
Most games nowadays have glitches and bugs during their first week. As much as I enjoy Black Ops (yeah SP is much better than MW2 SP) and Killzone 3, those games had bugs, glitches etc. No game is perfect, there is bound to be patches coming. I probably buy this game later in the year, to busy with Yakuza 4 (great game).
I think Red Dead Redemption needs to be on here. Character voice acting and scenery were fantastic in RDR. The Di Santos shotgun/stagecoach riding got boring and John Marston had the same attitude as Niko Bellic. GTA IV was a good game but the scores for it were ridiculous.
The list needs Yakuza 3 or 4 (Enjoying Yakuza 4 atm). Great JRPG.
Modnation Racers was a great game (except loading). I wish there was other things added to Modnation like battle mode (I love Mario Kart). Other than that LBP 2 surprised me a lot. Maybe LBP 3 could top it :D
It depends, they have found their market. But they will still deliver their first party titles.
I think Killzone 3 SP was more interesting to me than Killzone 2. In Killzone 2, you didn't really care or be interested in the other characters but Rico (yeah very annoying). In Killzone 3 you see everyone's personality (the helgans, narville, sev, jammer, rico etc). The settings in both games are great.
A great game, much better than the first with the humour and music. Could be my GOTY.
Yeah the story is the important thing in the Yakuza games along with the exploration. The story is like a jigsaw. The more you play the more you uncover. You get a recap of Yakuza 1. Kiryu Kazuma (played too much Yakuza 3) is the main character in the series (in Yakuza 4 there is three other characters).
On topic, Part 2 in Yakuza 4 is great even though chapter 2 made me curse.
Twisted Metal 1 is on the EU playstation store, I think Wipeout is also on the store.
For the people that bash this game. Play the game as a gamer. The game feels like a good childhood game. Plus this is a great Sega title.
I always switch the PS3 from the back after the system has shut down (when the light goes red). I never knew that, I thought leaving the disc in the system when the system has shut down shortens the lens. Interesting.
