I agree with Unicron. People will just buy established franchises unless the games are hyped (for example Homefront and Rockstar games).

Yeah I use Amazon and Game (website) a lot for cheap games. The only games I got on release day were God of War 3, Killzone 3 and Yakuza 4. I think Gigagaia meant the release day prices for games. I think DS games are still expensive even after a few months of release (look at the 1st party DS titles like Zelda and Mario).
Lol relax, I do not own a Wii however I do own a phat PS3 (doesn't read discs), PSP 3000, PS2 Slim, the original DS, a Gamecube and a GBA SP.

Here in the UK, games have been £40 for new releases (PS3 and XBOX 360) since the PS2 days. Wii and PC games (except Starcraft £40 release day) are around £30 and PSP, DS games around £25 (PSP games drop down in price, whereas Mario Kart DS is still £25 since 2005). I remember N64 games use to be £50 while the PS1 games use to be £30.

Nintendo probably will announce a new console, I do not think it is going to be called Wii 2 though. Nintendo always change their console names when they release like the Wii (it was suppose to be called Revolution). I think they may stick with the Wii to beat the PS2 numbers (like the DS)
The bad thing is that the media will nitpick BF3 and Resistance 3 and be hypocrites while reviewing MW3. Everyone will still flock to COD no matter what other games offer.

The first Uncharted and MGS 4, great games. Yakuza 3 is my personal favourite PS3 game I've played (haven't completed Yakuza 4). I do love co-op on Uncharted 2 and Resistance 2.

I agree, Yakuza 1 was horrible, good story good concept just poorly executed in some areas like the battle system and loading times.
