The controls (when you press R2 aiming goes to the wrong place) and camera were the bad things about the demo. Hopefully there is online co-op in the future.
Just a general question, do they play VF at tournaments? I might pick up VF5 for the PS3 just to try it out.
I think Nintendo are going to stick with the Wii until it beats the PS2 numbers (Just a thought). There has not been much advertisements for the Wii this year (I haven't seen any ads for Wii just Kinect). It probably change when Zelda comes out.
My thoughts go out to everybody affected by this as well. Some of our childhood memories comes from these guys and it's sad this has happened.
I could not understand Koi Koi, Cho-han was easy lol. Getting the golf substory was a pain in the ass (that was the last one for me before facing amon).
To be honest I'm going to play Yakuza 4 just for the fun experience like Yakuza 3 not for the trophies.
I agree, I also wish people played it. The demo for Yakuza 3 put me off however I brought it for cheap and tried it out with an open mind and it was worth it.
Probably. The review comes from PSM3 though. Personally I do not care for reviews. After playing Yakuza 3 I hope the story is better in Yakuza 4. I enjoyed Yakuza 3 with what you can do in the game like the mini games and substories. Yakuza 4 is packed with more things that were missing from Yakuza 3.
The content is pretty much the same for both editions and both regions (EU and US). The only country that gets the good stuff is Australia. They can get Yakuza 4 with Yakuza 3 for free or Yakuza 4 with calender, rich bowl and chop sticks.
I say rent Yakuza 3, you get a recap of Yakuza 1 and 2. The graphics (texture wise) is not great however the cutscenes are beautiful.
It is a brawler with JPRG elements. You can upgrade your character and learn new moves. You can do fishing, bowling, darts, pool, poker and more. Characters have personality in which you can like or dislike them. I have put over 100 hours in Yakuza 3 (completed Yakuza 3 three times).
Greg Miller lost a lot of credibility when ...
Same can't wait till Thursday. Kuro Edition for me (although its nothing special, the dragon design is nice).
I have Kenzan. The battle mode is very different, instead of using fists you use swords (there is hand to hand combat but not that great compared to the sword fighting). Some of the sword combos should of been in Yakuza 3 and 4 (some of the heat finishers are). Anyway Sega should release this along with Of The End in a bundle (if it gets released over here) if not put it on the PSN at a reasonable price because it's a 3 year old game. I'm hoping for the PSP Yakuza game to come out, th...
Can't wait for the Kuro Edition. I do not get the bashing of this game. Yeah the in game graphics are not that great but the sheer content keeps you coming back for more. This is a great JRPG game/series. I wish people tried the game.
I hope they join MM.
I agree about the COD part wait till MW3. There is issues with Killzone 3 but I still enjoy this game. Salamun Market has bad framerate when you go to the middle and someone fires a wasp. The DLC loop is still there (on warzone) but it's not that bad after the update. Some bullet shots don't register as headshots when you shoot at the head, just registers as normal kills. Also the screen flickers when the round has ended.
I agree and I probably do the same unless they release Yakuza as a launch game (I want Yakuza on the go but I doubt Black Panther releasing here due to PSP software sales). I also want to know about the memory for the NGP, is it internal (how much gb) or external?
I wish for FFX and the Yakuza collection (1 and 2, due to loading issues in 1) to be released also.
As mastiffchild said, rent the game out. If you like it buy it. The game will surprise you.
@ Mastiffchild, I think people may not buy it due to reviews (smh) which could have an impact on Of The End being released here. I have Kenzan! and that is a different experience compared to the main series (in terms of battle). I wish Sega release Black Panther. The cutscene in Yakuza 3 are great especially the facial animations. I do agree with Greg Miller to some extent but he lost ...
Can't wait for my steelbook edition on Thursday. Yakuza 3 was my favourite (and personal GOTY) game last year. Surprised me as a gamer with what it offered, compared to the demo which I disliked. I thought I give it a try as it was £20. Yeah the graphics seem dated in some areas but the cutscenes and facial animation in the cutscenes are amazing. The beach in Yakuza 3 was nice and calm, you felt like you were there. Chapter 11 in Yakuza 3 was intense. Hopefully the story in Yakuza 4 ...
Add John Marston to the list. His personality is just like the other R* characters. Mario is milked a lot.
Get the game as a gamer. This is game has a lot of content which keeps you coming back for more. Although there is no mp, the single player can give you over 100 hours worth of content. Screw the reviews, buy it or rent it. If you enjoy it buy it, a great JRPG from Sega.
