So far I really like this update. The boot to TV is pretty great if you have your tv routed through your X1. The media player is cool but no MKV support until later this year. Pretty much all my media is in MKV format so I will be very impatiently waiting for that to work haha.
The multiple delete for clips recorded is also very welcome. They also updated the beta SmartGlass app and it connects so fast now. It was always fast, but now it is instant. Wish I was in Europe so I...
Is Kanye West worried because Justin Beiber has more sales than him? No, only Beiber fans care. Let the Beiber and PS4 fans enjoy their sales.
From a pure CPU standpoint, PS4 is pretty weak. However, the big thing consoles do that PC's cannot "currently" match is Parallel Computing which changes the development game. On PC today, the CPU and the GPU are separate entities that have separate memory. For the most part if you want them to work together, they have to update the bits of memory on their end and then move them to the memory of the other for it to do work.
On next gen consoles that isn't th...
Yep, you can end this thread with HK-47!
Way more games right now than X1 or PS4. Steam dominates the indie scene. Plus all the old games like Arkham City, Skyrim etc feel like next gen games on a good PC.
Additionally, all PC games are backwards compatible. So basically your library goes all the way back to the first game ever made haha.
I recently built a steam machine for my living room. Overall it ended up costing around 700 dollars, but I could have gone quite a bit lower if I opted for an i5 processor. I ended up ditching the SteamOS fairly quick and going with Windows though, too many games do not work with SteamOS right now, plus you might want games on services like Origin etc as well as Steam.
Been playing all the TellTale games on it since they aren't on X1 or PS4 yet. Also been playing a lot of...
"Our goal is to build the best game that we possibly can, and our relationship with Microsoft will help us realize our vision for the game."
Good to hear, glad Microsoft is offering them resources and help to make a better game. We all win when these deals make the games better.
720p is the best of those three, so yeah. 1080i is not 1080p, it is interlaced, only sends 540 lines, half the detail every 60th of a second, with all the detail sent every 30th of a second. 720p will provide a more consistent picture. Best to just get tech that does 1080p.
According to the specs http://www.playstation.com/... it is only 720p, I don't think PlayStation fans will want it based on their hate of that resolution.
@jujubee88: I don't think I have ever down voted anything on this site. Did not even know you could.
X1 does have Sunday Ticket for NFL http://www.polygon.com/2014... so you will be happy haha. Also you can watch Walking Dead and Mad Men in multiple apps: Xbox Video, Netflix and Vudu
lol, especially Microsoft. And Sony. We don't care enough about Nintendo to hate them though :D
Same here. Runner up was actually Advanced Warfare for me, which is pretty crazy because I am not a fan of that series.. But damn that Golden Gate Bridge demo was amazing. Futuristic gadgets are awesome
Life is unfair.
Here at N4G we hate developers. And consoles. And games. And everything. :D. Glad twitter is nice though haha.
Exactly! That and Destiny are the two I am planning on getting.
The thing about procedurally generated content is that it is very fun to debug when coding. You never know what you will get and it is fun to see what your code did. However, that usually doesn't translate to players very well. It isn't their code and they have no attachment, they just want a compelling experience. I am not saying No Man's Sky won't be fun, but I think people are building up expectations that will not be met.
I think all of them are great reasons. Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall, Forza Horizons 2, Forza 5 etc.
If I had to pick one though, it would be Master Chief Collection. So much gameplay, so much value.
I don't hate him.. I just find him rather pathetic.
Wow, if that is Sony's plan... I am out. All that no DRM talk, when really they are planning for a DRM only future.
Diablo III is 1080p and 60fps on both X1 and the PS4. Only difference between the two is X1 does multitasking during game play. Maybe one day PS4 can match the performance though.
