It is a very good deal. Personally I would get Kinect though, it makes almost everything about using the system better. Searching for content, starting games and apps, recording game play are all things you do daily with Kinect if you want the best experience. I know, it is cool to hate on Kinect but the reality is that it adds a lot to the overall experience.
So far Child of Light is the best game of 2014. Super Time Force and Shovel Knight also are so good.
I might on some games now that you can preload digitally. Playing at midnight of launch day is fun.
It all adds up. 3-5% to retailers, cost of shipping, materials to ship, used game market created.. etc.
MS gets many DDOS attacks, especially on their DNS servers. Problem is MS has so many redundant "backup" servers it hard to take one of their services completely down using that kind of attack. They have had some situations where certain regions were down due to DDOS though.
They might as well just do the maintenance today since it is already down.
That is pretty much how I use my DS4 on the PS4 too, since it seems the battery is almost always dead. Long live hard wired controllers. :|
@YouAreSalty: welcome to PSNation. We are the 90's : (
Well, Uncharted will be the game compared to Tombraider and I do agree that Uncharted is as big if not bigger than Tombraider right now. Halo will be the game they need to match. Maybe they can buy the COD franchise if they can ever figure out this whole bankruptcy concern.
This will definitely save Vita!!! : )
I have the same issue. They tell me they don't have enough to give to everyone in the program right now. Well great, then make the x1 an sdk like you said, problem solved. They are doing a lot of great things with ID@Xbox especially around the tooling but their handling of the SDK's is kind of frustrating.
Must be why all of those are the top selling franchises. We see them on the shelves and can't help ourselves.. Bore me, please game bore me!!
The only real cure to the digital pricing issue is to drop physical copies of disks. Production of physical materials and distribution, plus the cut retailers get drives prices up. Plus it opens the market up for used games and rentals which further drives prices up. And to be honest, outside of a few remote locations there is no need for physical copies of code to be sold.
The only console I have issues with performance wise so far this gen is the PS4. Can't believe a device made today doesn't have true multitasking. Pretty sad.
Wish I could go, I really want to play Below.
DDOS attacks are the worst. So hard to block if they are using virtual IP's and tagging traffic to look legit. Sometimes I think virtual IP's should not be allowed on the internet, too many opportunities to use them for bad things like SPAM and DDOS attacks.
Replace Mortal Combat with Rise of the Tombraider and that list is amazing!
Same here. Spend almost all my time on X1 and I own them all. Awesome console. People who don't have one don't know what they are missing.
The only people I know that only have Wii U and not PS4 or X1 have no interest in games like COD. I am not saying such people don't exist, but I have never met them.
Me too, at least it is coming though. 360 never got MKV support.
The new SmartGlass beta allows you to record clips but I think you are right that on the controller there is currently no way. Voice is great for that feature, don't have to worry about interrupting game play just say it haha
