I would love a diskless version of both X1 and PS4, I hope that rumor comes true.
Of course they are, they also are planning to steal all your babies and kittens. Microsoft is teh evil! : |
If you haven't already gotten it, Super Time Force is my pick for game of the year so far.. so definitely that. And Child of Light is the second best game I have played this year, also a must have if you haven't played it.
Haha, yeah. Frostbite engine has such a head start on the competing engines as far as future optimizations go. Still in the early engine phase but definitely awesome tech. Too bad their network engineers aren't as good as their graphics engineers :D
Yes, X1 already had bare metal API's. However, they have to be targeted and coded for. If you are porting a game from the PC with DirectX11, you do not magically get benefits. You have to do a lot of work. The goal of DX12 is to make it so you can write code that performs awesome cross platform. Tablets, Phones, Computers, Console.
If you are writing a game for PC today, that code is not going to be optimized for the Xbox One and will not take advantage of the parallel co...
Stylish for sure, but so boring. If you enjoyed Bastion you might like this, but be prepared for lots of repetition and boring dialog, similar to Bastion.
Good and bad news for us gamers. Good news, because we need Sony to survive, but bad news in that they are looking at more ways to capitalize off of our gaming addiction :D.
Graphics look great, it is just the gameplay that is concerning.
When they said it would format the drive I just assumed everyone understood what the meant :D
That does definitely help, great list of games.
If it was made in the past 5 years, it probably has it : ). Especially if it was made by Samsung. On a Sumsung TV it is usually under Applications/Anynet+
If you are one of the 5 people in the world that own an overpriced Vita, that is true.
Also worth noting, that you can multitask on the Xbox One version while playing. For example if you wanted to Skype video chat with a friend that is also playing the game at the same time. Of course you can do this on the PC too, you can even do it between the PC and Xbox One.
Also, this works with every HDMI-CEC device, bluray players etc just how that tech works. Can be annoying too when it switches and you don't want it too haha. Wish it had a way to choose which input to use when you pressed the PS button.
The hardware game has become so much more competitive, with Tablets and Mobile phones eating almost the entire youth market. Used to be Nintendo owned the casual game market by themselves, but now Apple and Google are battling each other with sums of cash Nintendo has no way to compete against. There is an old saying of "if you can't beat them, join them". That might be the best path for Nintendo.
I am not saying I like it, but I do think it is a business realit...
Or you could look at it, as they are giving away Kinect for 40 dollars and you get Titanfall. That is an awesome deal.
Definitely getting this one on PC. You can tell it is a PC game first being ported down to PS4/X1. Especially since NVidia was so involved with creating effects that do not work on PS4/X1.
I definitely do not agree with Halo 4 being disappointing. I loved that campaign. In fact it is probably tied with Half Life 2 as my favorite FPS Campaign of all time. The multiplayer was disappointing, but as far as Chief's return, it was awesome. Great list besides that though.
Looks good and runs awesome. Wish I could talk myself into a Wii U!
Graphics look great IMO.. It is the gameplay that looks questionable. Hopefully it is more fun to play than it is to watch.
