The originals are two of the PS2's best games ever. They both deserve these re-releases because not nearly enough people played them in their heyday, especially ICO.
Like you, I've seen the discussion go around and around a million times as well.
The closest single factor I can get to is this:
Does killing things make you stronger? Like, can you -- by your own choice -- kill a hundred of something and become superior? Kill 200 more and become stronger again? Kill 5,000 more and get a little bit stronger?
If so, I end up saying RPG 99.99% of the time.
There will be exceptions to every rule, but this one...
Hm, interesting.
Such as?
Man, the Millencolin version of that song is super badass too.
I'm finally going to win at something!
Was always curious about this one.
Ni no Kuni's announcement for stateside release was a surprise to me since the DS version didn't make it. Looking forward to that and...
-Grand Knights History
-Xillia
-Skyrim
-Diablo III
-Mass Effect 3
-Disgaea 3 Vita
-FFX HD
-Tales of Graces F
It's an enhanced HD port, not a remake.
I wonder how much each one will cost, exactly. Could be the determining factor in a lot of sales. Like how much will it cost to build a decent army?
Yep, and this one looks pretty good ^_^
Should be "is." Xseed *is* teasing a new game.
Nice to see the series still alive, at least. It was 2008 last time it saw any action at all.
"Remember when everyone said portable gaming was dead and that iPhone and iPad gaming was the way of the future? Yeah, that hasn’t changed with the announcement of needed accessory prices for the PS Vita."
^ Yeah, I can't wait to get out my iPhone and play games like Resistance: Burning Skies, Killzone 3, MGS Peace Walker, Final Fantasy X HD, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Tales of Innocence R, Disgaea 3, Little King Story, Persona 4...can I stop listing examples of w...
I agree.
I love how it's obvious that the website already had this conclusion in mind and shoved it on the Sega guy.
GC: Why do you think Japanese audiences and developers have stopped being interested in shoot 'em-ups?
GC: Yes, shooters in general but also first person shooters specifically? We still don't understand why Japanese people don't like them.
GC: Well they gave up pretty quickly, it's hard to think of any exampl...
I love this kind of stuff. Reminds me of this:

That's when it will happen. This website is just hyping up retail placeholder dates to get hits. I'm disappointed no one has called them out yet.
They don't want it to steal attention from FFXIII-2. It's a marketing move.
He's right.
Was a bummer not to see Dragon Quest X playable at the show but they probably don't want to put too much stuff out there at once.
Sever lack of ICO ;_;
And Final Fantasy, whose developer was so unknown they thought it was gonna be their last game (hence the title). ^^;;
