The popping noises my PS3 Slim makes every 10-20 minutes are annoying too. Just saying.
Also, if anyone disagrees obviously doesn't own a slim, this happens with all of my friends that have a slim. I know it's the plastic expanding from the heat, but it is still annoying as hell nonetheless.
I'm not going to buy OnLive, but I have to admit that I am mildly impressed based of what I read. I don't think this will be that successful now, but who knows? Maybe next gen it will. I think it's a good idea overall, but it still needs a lot of improvement.
Before this whole motion control phenomenon came to the PS3 and 360, everyone was like, "Wii is nothing but a gimmick, it won't last long." Now look at us...praising motion contols since they are now coming to the "hardcore" systems. Props to Nintendo for being the most innovative this gen. The weakest is the strongest.
I'm not hearing about 3 red lights as much, but what about error E74 and 1 red light? I know quite a few people with E74...just saying. In fact, E74 wasn't even covered by the extended warranty at first, now it is.

As a owner of both consoles I must admit that PS3 fans tend to exaggerate the difference in graphics. I mean the PS3 exclusives like God of War 3, Heavy Rain, UC2, look great, but they are not a shit load better than some of the games you see graphically on the 360. They make it seem as if the games on the 360 are like gameboy pocket and the games on the PS3 are like PSP (sorry can't think of another comparison XD). I'm very disapointed with the press conference also. I was thinking about selling my PS3 mainly because all of my friends have 360s and I don't have many that play on PS3. Now I'm keeping it for sure. On another note, it's sad that the console that no one really paid attention to is having a huge impact on the "hardcore systems."
Many people are just now getting HDTVs since the prices have gone down. Does Sony really expect people to just run out and dish out $2000-$3000 to get 3DTVs? I'm not. I think 3D could take off next generation, but I really don't see it having that much of an impact now. Also, I don't know about you guys, but the 3D glasses at the movies give me a headache most of the time.
I honestly think 3D will be more of a next generation thing. Although Sony may be adding it with the PS3 now, I honestly don't see 3D taking off until the next generation of consoles arrive.
Until I don't have to wear fucking glasses to experience 3D, I don't give a crap about it. 3D is still a gimmick imo.
