Great. If there's something I can't stand, it's those remasters that just renew graphics. The stench of conservative nostalgia stings my eyes. I am very grateful that Square has adopted the idea of a complete remake, bringing me a new game. If I wanted to see the 90s again, I would play the original game.
Donkey Kong Country is not underrated. It is one of the most celebrated series of SNES and GBA, with a good passage through the N64, and very well evaluated in aggregators in the versions of Wii (87), 3DS (83), Wii U (83) and Switch (86). Perhaps only the evaluation of the Switch version is a little overrated, since it is merely a port of the previous version.
Trying to value a series you like does not have to go through creating parallel versions of reality. It would be more interes...
The SSD solution of the new consoles is so fast that it is possible to dump the complete RAM and load it back almost imperceptibly. In practice, the SSD will be a slightly lower speed RAM.
Super Mario 3D World is a throwback to this game.
Yes, we did. Stadia is aiming to the rest of the world, not just for those 200 million people who buy consoles.
Free market, baby!
I prefer to wait for Sony's own fiscal report predictions. Trusting a Japanese Pachter is not for me.
It does not contradict. The Bloomberg article does not say that components will be missing, it just says that components will be more expensive in the beginning.
Because Nintendo fans are like spoiled little children. If they get p5 they will say good things about the game and Atlus on the internet. But if Xbox or playstation get smt they will try to destroy game reputation and producers. Its not that simple when we are talking about the most vocalic and spoiled gamers on Internet.
Just remember all the problems with Rayman Legends on Wii U.
The world has almost 8 billion people. Less than 0.2 bi have a console or less than 2.5% without considering overlap. Google is probably the company with access to more people in this planet. I think it should be naive to believe Stadia is aiming to those 2.5%.
Nobody cares, because Nintendo can do anything and Nobody blinks an eye.
I think the biggest challenge is going to be changing the mind of gamerz that gpu is not the only thing that makes a system.
When people compare flops they are comparing gpus under some architeture. Even it is limited when different generations and gpu technologies are put side by side.
When we look to ps5 and Xbox sex we need to look overall. CPU, Gpu, RAM, disk, bandwidth, bridge, etc. Even comparing the same game can be misleading.
What is nostalgic today was new yesterday. If we get attached only in the past, we will have nothing to remember in a few years.
May the PS5 boot be more striking than the PS4 boot, but that it be something new.
That's the point. E3 is changing to become more like Comic Com, than CES or E3 itself.
Some people will like and some don't.
Sony was there in 1995 when E3 started. Throughout this journey so far a lot has changed. Companies have changed, the game market has changed, but especially E3 has changed.
Originally a show for the industry and the press - yes, there was no audience until a few years ago - it became a show for celebrities, audiences and influencers.

What worries me is that this approach does not allow any studio to use SSD as a game design tool rather than a simple loading time accelerator.
Sony introduced how SSD technology changes the speed at which it is possible to travel through New York in Spiderman's game. What they tried to show is that this technology (which will also be on the new Xbox) allows new possibilities for game design and gameplay. Cross-gen games will be limited by the lowest denominator. We are not simply talking about resolution or frames.
