This would be a great Kinect game for Xbox One. Why not?
They scaled it back but the Ryse character models still look better than they do in Infamous. There is more going on than just polys. Just look at the skin texture quality and lighting in Ryse vs Infamous which looks almost cartoonish and flat. Crytek used a lot more technical tricks than are found in Infamous.
Will there be tentacles?
More potential to be tapped in the PS4 but I'd argue there is far less room for improvement down the road compared to the X1. Developers are already getting a lot of the PS4 right now, and Sony's APIs are closer to the metal and their SDK + architecture are currently easier to use than what is available on the X1.
PS4 is like the extra freaky girl who does everything. You get every perk up front.
X1 is like the nice wifey type girl who will do some t...
Microsoft pushes updates out like clockwork for Windows on "Patch Tuesdays". Anyone who follows MS knows these updates are all part of its mantra of "update, update, update".
Sure, now put Halo 4 on Xbox One. NOW!
Halo 4 dreadful? No.
Halo 3 is dreadful (well the MP), I tried to play it again and not only does it look bad, but it plays way too slow. I felt faster in Halo ODST as a human! That can't be! I imagine Spartan IVs to be extremely fast, hyper lethal killing machines. Halo 4 brought a fresh feel to the series. I am actually glad the series changed hands to 343i, I think overall they did a better job. I know, blasphemy. Bungie did an admirable job and established Halo as a g...
Nobody said DX12 would magically alter the hardware. What it does is make the hardware more efficient, so that the hardware can get closer to theoretical performance.
Okay cool.
This game could really use dx12 on XB1 and PC.
They aren't trying to fool anybody. Cloud is just a catchy name for dedicated servers.
Difference between what you and your friend used is that they are using workstations for calculations in game. You guys only used it to reduce network ping and lag. There were no additional calculations being offloaded. You're really grasping at straws.
Ok
Anybody who has ever used Amazon EC2 images, Z Clusters, or GALAXY knows distributed computing To offload certain tasks in the background in reaL time is a real thing. Azure can be used as a backbone to accomplish many of the same things. The real beauty is offloading to the cloud frees up the CPU to do other things. No it won't boost graphics by 10X but it can increase overall system effiency.
Honestly I don't why there is so much vitriol regarding the term cloud. It...
How is Ryse, one of the best looking games of this gen, 900p and Trials a far less demanding game, not 1080p?
Cool stuff
Snowdrop engine runs like buttah on X1, it will be 1080p.
People seem to hand out 8s just because, like they know it's not good enough to be a 9 but are too scared to give it an honest score. 8s are the new passing grade. It's beautiful but only slightly above average game.
Visually impressive but shallow gameplay, sparse environments, and too conservative. If video games were based purely on looks the game would get an 11. Unfortunately, while it is strong in the department it is weak in others. Personally, the reviewer gave valid points, a 6 is a bit harsh but not entirely unjustified. I would have given a 7. It's an average game, and only received much fanfare due to the lack of other quality games on PS4.
They'll roll out in an update. Be patient.
Weren't some in the Playstation camp raving about Granite and dismissing DX12? Now the CEO of Graphine practically dispels any rumor that there won't be a significant performance boost for the X1, and that DX12 is even closer to the metal than 11.2.
