MS would have already had the lead in NA and UK if it hadn't royally screwed its launch with $500 price point, a Kinect with no games, Don Mattrick, TV-TV-TV, and every other gigantic mishap. They had already blew the doors of the PS3, with extreme domination with the 360. All they had to do was launch at $400, have Kinect as an add on, emphasize more games, and launch with indisputably equal or more powerful hardware while maintaing it's superior media and online ecosystem edge.
No Mans Sky is shaping up to be the best music visualization ever created.
Nintendo caters to a demographic I haven't been apart of since the 1990s. I don't think they are a threat the either Sony or MS, unless they rapidly rebuild all 3rd party relationships and significantly overhaul their online ecosystem.

Xbox One is selling too well for MS to ever go back to $399. If, you caught the Halo 5 beta trailer they give a pretty big hint that the price is staying....Xbox One now $349! Plus, they can afford to sell at a loss in a way Sony can't. Sony is only at $329-$350 because retailers are doing deals to move units. It has nothing to do with Sony dropping the price nor should anyone expect a price drop with the way Sony's financial reports keep looking.

Sony only beat MS by 300K which is roughly equivalent to 3% of total Xbox One sales of 10+ million.
I don't find 300k significant at all and thats with MS being in less countries and Sony being a stronger global brand.
November was basically a wash if these numbers are anywhere near accurate. There was no statistically significant differences between MS and Sony global sales.
All Microsoft needs to do now is just blow out Sony every mont...
