Pretty telling when the biggest software launch on PS4 is a multiplatform game that looks and play identically on the competing platform. It just shows how weak the PS4 software library really is.

They had a crap ton of overseas money and chose to buy arguably one of the biggest gaming IP on Earth. An IP with widespread appeal through a range of demographics.

Looks like another stellar AAA title to follow up the exquisitely crafted Forza Horizons 2. Xbox has the best fall lineup hands down.

Microsoft spent that much money for 2 major reasons:
1) They had to. They have a ton of offshore money that will face US taxes if repatriated.
2) Minecraft is the new Lego. It has yet to peak and its making tons of money, plus development does not cost very much. Low investment, high return equals perfect IP.
Titanfall for sure lived up to my expectation. I knew exactly what I was getting: a no frills multiplayer experience not much different than a Quake III arena or a Unreal Tournament 2004 (sure they had singleplayers but they were generally running and gunning against bots).
Watchdogs was extremely hyped up and I didn't bother with it.
