Sony has no incentive to drop the price when the PS4 sells like crazy.
However Sony does need to drop better exclusive games and stop hyping their games up simply because they achieve 1080p.
Why are we still talking about this and Mattrick? The Xbox One is so far removed from its original reveal that it can hardly be called the same console. The updates, the games, the feature requests online, and the leadership have been excellent.

Attach rate per platform is a better sales indicator IMO but who cares...Destiny is going to be dropped like a rock in Xbox Land come next week....when the Master reappears.

I think the future is a shared marketplace for select cross platform games between PC and Xbox One. Cross platform games would allow you to buy games on either platform and play and on the other at your discretion. Certain games that would work better on PC would stay on PC, others that justify getting an Xbox One like Halo and Gears would stay on Xbox One.
What I got from the article is that while there might be on paper differences in resolution (dynamic vs locked 1080p) the Xbox One has better framerate. Overall though, visually the games look near 99% identical.
This resolution stuff has to stop. There simply isn't a massive difference in horsepower between the consoles. Some people act like the power difference is like NES vs PS3. That's just not the case.

I say 5 to 6. I also don't think MS will risk having a slightly weaker console ever again. Xbox Two will probably be backwards compatible, 4-5 times more powerful than the PS4, and all apps and services will transition seamlessly because by 2018 MS will have already laid the groundwork for all of its platforms and in the case of Xboxit will have a huge backlog of Universal apps. PS4 might be killing it in hardware sales but it's software lineup is unquestionably pathetic. There are better games on Xbox One and Wii U.

There is literally no point in preordering anymore. It used to be a time when a major game would launch and it would sell out. Now you can literally go to a gas station and find a copy of a major game.
Or if you're like me and like to keep your games, don't care about reselling, don't want clutter, and don't feel like heading to Walmart or GameStop... You just download the game and call it a day.
