good list IMO.
ill buy GT5 when it comes out, but im not really counting down the days til it comes out. LBP2, well after buying LBP on release and tiring of it very quickly, im not anticipating LBP2 at all. will i buy it? probably, but only when its seen a significant price drop from release.
NFS is up high on that list because its made by Criterion. you know, the guys who made the absolutely incredible Burnout Paradise? the guys who made the incredible Bla...
"I don't get why a feature like rewind gets so much hate."
because its in Forza, and Forza isnt on the PS3. thats why.
if it was in GT5 though, itd be the greatest thing since sliced bread.
if you had of played Forza 3 before, which you clearly havent, you would know that one of the options is for the game to control the accelerating/braking for you. its one of the many options in there to make the game easier for beginners, along with steering assist, no damage, etc.
so to reiterate - you can play Forza 3 RIGHT NOW without having to worry about accelerating/braking, the game takes care of it all for you.
all Kinect is doing is replacing the ste...
anyone putting Alan Wakes graphics in the 'fail' department instantly loses any credibility they mightve had.
@Fishy Fingers: "What bowling? Yeah I can see all the COD, Halo and Mass Effect gamers dropping their pads and running to the nearest shop now."
way to miss the point.
Kinect is NOT going after the COD, Halo and Mass Effect crowd - the Xbox already HAS that crowd, it doesnt need to attract them.
Kinect is going after the people that bought the wii, want to buy the wii, and dont have/want a PS3/360 in general. Kinect is all about EX...
@Pope_John_Paul_II: "have you played KZ2 or go onto the official KZ website, you would realize that KZ2 online still goes on strong. "
you couldnt be more wrong if you tried.
OFFICIAL player figures from their official websites:
unique players in the last 24 hours:
Killzone 2: 3,919
Halo 3: 581,985
unique players since release:
Killzone 2: 2,216,516
Halo 3: 19,133,727

so by confirming this, they basically confirm that theres no 4 player co-op campaign.
the tacticians grenades were a big cause of the spawn camping problem, as people just sat near them with rocket launchers blasting the people that spawned. or you just kept your gun aimed at head height and headshotted everyone that spawned.
so basically take all the things that Halo 3 and Halo Reach added (video replays, user generated content, bigger scale multiplayer levels/modes) and put them in Killzone 3?
sounds good. if another game makes something extraordinary other developers should take note and do it too.
the MP things they need to fix IMO:
- spawn camping. they made many changes to the spawn points in KZ2s multiplayer over 12 months, none of them worked to stop the p...
my favourite part of that is the horrible AI that unsurprisingly looks exactly like it was in GT1-4 - just follows a set line around the track.
they just kept running into the crashed cars without even braking lol.
how is this news? this was confirmed months ago.
still means only 200 of the 1000 cars actually show more than scratches, so its all kinds of fail in that regard.
no, i own a PS3 and a 360.
the xbox doesnt need the cell processor to do those games. i mean, look at the games that youre saying cant be done:
Uncharted 2: straightforward linear action game with TINY explorable levels. saying that the Cell is needed to render BACKGROUND is absolutely laughable. firstly, its the GPU that renders the backgrounds. secondly, the Cell has nothing to do with backgrounds because its not having to process any data there - the backg...
"LittleBigPlanet is a huge community game that thrives because of an open, post-release moderation scheme and an open approach to content sharing. This is also an aspect of the PSN service that Gabe Newell complimented at E3 and called the future of the industry. This too is currently not possible on the 360 as Microsoft’s policies on content and server management is far more restrictive. It could be done one day, but right now it cannot."
Halo 3 says hi. Forza 3 sa...
i disagree, and ill give you my reasons why.
1. Crysis 2 looks graphically superior and going by both games prequels, will be more fun to play IMO than Killzone 3.
2. Rage looks graphically superior than Killzone 3, is made by a better developer, runs at 60fps, and looks to have better and more varied gameplay than Killzone 3.
3. Bulletstorm looks fantastic graphically, sports higher resolution textures and more detail than Killzone 3, and lo...
@SephireX:
sigh. more fanboy rubbish.
"It is hard to tell the difference between GT5 and real-life from still pictures"
not in-game screenshots its not. the difference between GT5s supersampled replay screens and native in-game screens are night and day. anyone can make an 18 megapixel picture with super high LOD models and anti-aliasing look like 'real life'. doing it in-game however, is another matter. GT5 with its 1280x1...
how can you like the input lag? having 0.2 of a second between when you press shoot and when the game shoots is ridiculous.
it didnt make Killzone 2 interesting, it made it frustrating. you line someone up for a sniper headshot, press shoot, then the person moves and your bullet misses just because the game didnt respond to your inputs in time. it especially made 1-on-1 shotgun strafing battles even dumber than they already are, as youd have to try and take the lag into accou...
"it was just the people who hated a control scheme outside their comfort zone that saw it was 'broken'."
not true at all. i had no problem with the control scheme at all. what i did have a problem with was the 200ms of input lag that made the game unresponsive.
i have no problem with the 'weighty' momentum based turning, thats fine. input lag however, is not fine.
no 200ms input lag = im buying killzone 3.
great to hear. it will still have the momentum based turning, now it will just be without the 200ms wait between when you tell it to do something and when it does it.
bingo.
companies releasing 'game of the year' editions of their games arent basing it on certain publications giving them awards - theyre basing it on selling more copies. they dont want to re-release the exact same thing, so they put in a bit of extra content and slap 'game of the year edition' on it, then watch the fanboys flock to it, buying it when they already purchased the original release.
@Brklynty1: "also is there a reason u only included 360 numbers for MW2 and Bioshock? Flyin ur fanboy flag i see. "
well firstly, i didnt mention bioshock. that was some other guy.
secondly, i only included 360 numbers for MW2 because i only own MW2 on the 360 and as such i had no way of knowing how many people were playing MW2 on the PS3 at that time. see how that works? i was simply making a point about how few people there are playing Killzone 2 ...
