Since is MS Research, I am betting it has to do with integrating Kinect in some unique way.
Hopefully it doesn't take 5+ years in reality :)
How about we decide after it's been released. Most people aren't going to give a damn about what happened at E3 2013, most people want to play the next big thing. If that happens to be Titanfall and Halo 5, MS has nothing to worry about. If PS4 has something that is better, that's who will come out ahead. It all remains to be seen.
Tell that to LG and Samsung, both have been eating Sony's lunch in all the other home electronics categories
Ugh not this nonsense again.
Unfortunately the article doesn't mention a single word about how much this stuff actually costs.
What is it about Xbox One games that has the PS4 fanboys coming in here to crap on them. Are you worried? If you are happy with the PS4 I would think you wouldn't even come to this article.
I just wish people that don't have electronics engineering degrees and complete knowledge of either of the platform's hardware would STFU about it. You really don't know what you're talking about and are acting as armchair engineers. Meanwhile most of you don't even know how to build a PC.
That's like saying, hmm, Walter White should have been female. Why wasn't it? Well because Vince Gilligan wrote the story that way. So too bad, the story was written that way. Don't like it? Write your own story.
you are even more retarded as you think you're an expert when you aren't. Whip out your engineering degree and your real name if you are so sure of your statement.
So if DirectX is always slower and less optimized, why do most companies use it?
Do you know why he's adding the two together in this case? This came not from Albert but from one of the top engineers involved in making the Xbox One.
Here's an amazing thought for you brainiacs. What if both memory pools can send data to the GPU at the same time? The diagrams from Hotchipz would appear to support this.
I think a lot of people seem to forget this is a highly CUSTOMized piece of hardware and is not your PC at home. The same rules ...
I might buy one if the new version comes to north america
Just wondering why you call him Yoshida-san. Would you call Larry Nelson Mr. Nelson? Makes you sound like a cult member.
There's not enough wood grain in it to be from the 1980s
No it didn't look like a brick, but it looked like the old styrofoam containers that the flapjacks breakfast at McDonald's use to come in during the 80s lol
Someone asked him about it and he answered honestly, geez.
If you spent several years working with teams that worked very hard to bring something to market only to have someone make a slang name for it, you'd probably be unhappy too.
To be fair, Angry Joe was not being professional in that interview, he was being an ass.
It's like naming your kid. Someone at the playground is always going to come up with an insultory version of the name no matter what you pick.
Either way I won't hold my breath for it to come out.
