You said it. The 2DS is for children that can't use 3D yet and are more destructive with their things which is why it doesn't have a hinge. You can't lock the 3D off on a 3DS so a kid would just turn it on when the parents aren't looking, and 3D damages their young eyes.
It's perfect for that market. It's more of a notice that there's this extra niche market that they could be filling with a cheaper, simpler device.
Too bad that he got an unpaid position. Major Nelson was just trying to hire 2 or 3 Community Managers before PAX and I believe that's over with now. You could have got paid!

They didn't actually say they were doing it. They said something like Gaikai was possible and they technically could do it and that they were looking at it.
Sony said the same thing about cloud processing. So I don't see what the big deal is.
Sony doesn't own the market on streaming video games and Microsoft doesn't own the market on cloud processing. They're just trying to counter each others points.
The reason they ditched the first Xbox so quickly was because NVIDIA stopped producing the graphics chips. So they couldn't manufacture new Xboxes, forcing them to start on Xbox 360 early.
I'm getting both consoles day one, and I do prefer the Xbox One over the PS4 but there's no hidden 2nd GPU. PS4 is more powerful on paper. I don't really think it's going to make much difference in the long run between the two, just like this gen. But either way I'm covered in any case since I'll have both. People need to relax, but the 2nd GPU is obviously not true.
Neither group are qualified engineers and shouldn't comment as such.

@cell989 actually if you look at the latest info, the newer windows 8 phones are getting great reviews. A lot of people say the UI is better and more responsive than iPhone or Android. In terms of phones, I'm an HTC/Android guy myself but when my contract is up next year I am considering a Windows phone, something I'd never thought I'd ever consider.
