It's not needed if you know how to drive without crashing into walls :)
There's a difference between mature games and games that are rated "Mature" by the ESRB. You can't make a game (or any other medium) mature by adding nudity, foul language, and gratuitous violence. In fact, doing so makes it more childish, and therefore more appealing to teenagers.
If we really want people to take games seriously, we need games that have deep characters in situations that we can relate to. Language and nudity has a place in creating an atmosphere (al...
I don't see why this got approved as news. The author lists no credentials, no studies, and therefore no reason to believe the list. I'm not saying I disagree with all of them (but the first one? I mean really), I just don't see the point of an article that lists facts based on anecdotal evidence, if even that.
I think they (we?) deserve a little gloating, considering all the hate they/we faced last year and the year before. I mean now we don't have to say we're "waiting" for the good games, because we already have them and the PS3 hasn't even gotten started yet.
I would've been more lenient with this game if Codemasters hadn't said they were going to unseat Gran Turismo, and if they hadn't released that "actual gameplay" video that looks so much better than this.
But this looks like a typical generic racing game with generic graphics and too much bloom.
It's a joke. Look how big the bike is compared to the archway.
The difference being that it is actually hard to find Wii's, whereas I've never heard of someone having trouble finding a 360.
Where are those narrators from? Some are horrible.
I'm glad they put FFX at 3rd place, it was my favorite, with FFVI coming in 2nd. I seem to be the only one who was bored by FFVII, so I can understand them putting it 2nd.
Yeah, when I saw Jigglypuff last, I realized he knew absolutely nothing about Super Smash Bros.
If you're going to use Devil May Cry 4 as an example, why don't you point out that both 360 and PS3 sold about the same number of copies even though there are almost twice as many 360's sold?
This isn't greed, it's just stupid.
Impossible to hate? I beg to disagree. I think she is one of the most annoying video game characters.
Actually pixelated shadows don't have anything to do with the polygons of the models. When you create a shadow using shadow mapping, you basically take a picture of an object from the point of view of a camera, and then put that picture on whatever plane the object is on. The higher resolution this shadow map, the more memory it takes. So what you are seeing is the artifacts introduced by a shadow map that has a lower resolution than a regular texture.
This is assuming they ar...
Have you tried Firefox 3?
If not, you, and everyone else here, should really download Beta 4. It's the best browser I have ever used, and it uses less than half the memory that Firefox 2 used (and tests have shown. Plus my Yahoo Mail loads much faster, and being able to search your history by the page name is great. I'm not sure how you can say it's cluttered, since you can hide everything that you don't use.
Here are results that show Firefox 3 now uses the least...
OMG did you see the writing on the headlights of the BMW? I'm speechless.
Yeah, that's number 36, and that's the reason why I hate them.
Well the shipping takes back most of the discount compared to buying it from Amazon, where shipping is free for orders over $25.
I like the lighting better, but I hate the new character faces. Why did they change them?
This is great for me, considering I was thinking of selling the Japanese version and getting the US version. Although do we know that this includes all of the new features in the new GT5P like 2 player?
That's sort of how it is in F1 Championship Edition, and that game is even more hardcore than Gran Turismo. You can spend an hour preparing for a race, and then on the last lap of the race you touch a corner and your wheel pops off, and you're done.
But of course, you could turn the damage off.
