Given that it's EGM, they'll probably give it B+, B+, A.
Is anyone else tired of hearing about people gushing about Miyamoto? Sure he's a great designer and gave video games the spark they needed before fading away after Atari, but I applaud the designers that are advancing video games as an artistic medium such as Fumito Ueda of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus and Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear Solid, to name a few.
Miyamoto's characters are simply mascots without any real character, which I guess makes him a good comparison to Disney.
It probably told them they were overweight.
Not true. Kojima said it himself: "MGS4 is the best, the end."
Yay out-of-context quoting.
That means it's a 10 for any fan.
Lol "Obviously the reviewer is a Sony fan"? Just because someone doesn't like a 360 game that you do, it makes them a Sony fan?
By the way, this reviewer is right, although I'm an obvious Sony fan.
Yes, and Microsoft said "Blu-ray isn't taking off".
I don't think DDR was the best choice for this experiment. The results could have been caused by the exercise and movement that DDR requires, rather than the interaction with the video game itself.
Uncharted shows that the PS3 can do great textures.
Actually, they don't really befriend you. They just give you tons of money to make your game exclusive. Which is why I laughed when they talked about relationships.
I think Sony has good relationships if developers stick with the PS3 without being paid and without the ease of programming that comes with the 360.
It means you can upload Youtube videos directly from a PS3 game. Imagine having a great multiplayer game with your friends and being able to save the replay directly to Youtube, instead of having to set up a recording system, save it to a file, edit it, and put it online.
The running is from COD4? Are you kidding me? I don't play many FPS's, but I know there is running in some form in Half Life 2, Battlefield 2142, and Resistance to name a few.
"MGS4 is the best, the end." - Hideo Kojima
I am SO going to quote that out of context.
I think the PS3 is usually better with polygons at the expense of texture resolution. I think the textures are pretty good here, but I agree with the low poly counts. The only thing I don't like is that you see texture repeating in the background, but it does have an impressive view distance.
The only one wasting time in front of a flat screen monitor is the person that wrote this article.
Honestly, just because video games are popular, and some people don't like them and say they are bad for you, they should be compared to cigarettes? Why don't we throw comic books, rock and roll, and Harry Potter in there too?
The only time I would say video games might be compared to smoking is in the case of MMORPGs, where some people get addicted to spending inord...
It's right at the edge of healthy weight, assuming the parents gave the right figures. If she's 10 years old and this is the worst thing someone/something has told her after going through some of grade school, she should consider herself lucky.
Looks like Michael Pachter was right about GTA4 pushing more PS3's than 360's.
I take it you haven't played the Metal Gear Online beta map "Midtown Maelstrom". I at first was worried about the textures of MGS4, but this level put all of my fears to rest. The flickering shadows are a bit distracting, but they don't really take away from the graphical quality.
Uwe is actually a good boxer. He's done this before to some online nerds who all got messed up. If only he made movies as good as his boxing skills.
Don't forget LittleBigPlanet.
