I'm on my fourth PS3. 1 blu-ray failure and 2 YLOD's. Just been unlucky I guess, as I keep them clean and in open space to keep cool. I do have a lot of games (86 on disc) and use my PS3 a lot though.
Sony have been good to me though as I only paid for first refurb, the next 2 were free, even though out of warranty.
This gen has been poor for reliability on both 360 and PS3. Does seem to be getting better though with the new slim versions of both consoles. Things do...
Its like we've gone back in time to when PS3 first come out. Articles with PS3 Doooomed.
The first 2 games to come to mind are GOW3 and Heavy Rain, and both aren't on that list.
I love horror games, but the only one on that list I have played is Siren:Blood curse, which is a great game. Luckily it was released on blu-ray here (UK), and thats what I have. It was worth every penny of the £20 it cost me.
Playing horror games in the dark with the sound up is great.
While playing some games for the second time I have come across things I have missed during the first play through. I take more time and go for some easy trophies that I've missed. Some games can be more fun the second time playing.
I've been playing Borderlands and Red dead redemption a lot over this last week or so.
Those are 2 of my many games which I haven't played much of. I still have many more to finish. Out of my 86 PS3 blu-ray games I have at least half which I haven't finished yet.
I have had to start a lot of games again, as I got YLOD and didn't save my saves. I don't mind though as it gives me a great excuse to play them again.
IMO, the forgotten sands was more like the POP we know and love, and way better than the 2008 POP.
You're right, I live in Engand and if you look around you can get disc games cheaper than the same digital game.
Prices come down quickly for disc games, but digital download games take longer to drop in price.
It is common sense, but some N4g's haven't got very much of it (common sense).
Thats what I've been playing (Borderlands) and a little Red Dead Redemption.
I got this table for Zen pinball on PS3, and its a good one to have. Its one of the best ones.
It looks very similar to Mafia 2 to me. Open world, but story driven.
I am quite interested in how this game will play and how much replay value there is.
This is looking like it could be a great game.
I wouldn't say so, its too early yet and more great games coming later this year. E.G. Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 and more.
Of those games the ones I'm interested in are LA Noire and Brink. The others I'm not too bothered about.
Those of us who bought MoH limited edition should be getting a Battlefield 3 beta, according to the MoH box cover.
It has written on the cover "Beta invitation included Battlefield 3 TM, Limited time offer, see back for details".
On the back it does say though, "Beta offer is contingent on beta availability within 12 months of MoH release".
Is there a beta though and no demo?
I agree, those pictures could be of any game coming.
I thought it looked quite good, seen better, but seen a lot, lot, worse.
Cool video, never seen it before, good.
They got a few wrong way round for me. I like sonic better than Mario, Spyro better than Crash Bandicoot, FIFA better than PES, and Fight Night better than Wrestling.
We all have different tastes though, what one likes doesn't mean the other likes the same.
