If my internet was down, the last thing i would think about playing was a Battlefield game. The multiplayer makes the game, it's not like real battlefield fans would be sad that they couldn't play singleplayer; because there was none.
MP: important
SP: not so much, if at all.
Bf2 tanks were indestructible IMO. They also have a lot of health in bf3 but when there are 2 or more engineers around, tanks can blow up real quick.
Also take regenerating tank health into account.
They should make and America expansion pack, maps in american cities and countryside. Similar to the armor fury expansion of bf2.
Its not a map pack, Its an expansion people. Its the bf3 equilivent to bad company 2 : vietnam. $15 for new guns, vehicles and maps.
So battlefield bad company 2 vietnam was "just like activision"? Back to karkand is an expansion not a map pack.
Back to karkand is an expansion, not a map pack.it has new guns and vehicles.
Without multiplayer your not playing the best part of the game. SP is good but its way too short.
Go play battlefield 1942 and bf2's campaign. Oh wait there were none.
I want to see strike at karkand. Best map IMO.
Consoles aren't bad, but if you want the full experience I recommend buying the PC version.
I know it's easy, i just hate when I can't change to be a pilot. BTW I already beat it now. Its good to have friends.
What? The reason why cod got as popular as it did today was because the transition from cod3 to cod4 was immense. Cod4 is still seen to be the best of the series and it was the most ambitious title they created. After that they just copied the formula but left the soul of the game at the door.
Bf3's single player is not horrible, it's just generic and funnels you.
The plan was to steal a chunk of consumers, not totally obliterate them. We'll see what happens though.
Jim Sterling would disagree. And I don't like Jim.
If someone wants to play co op with me I'll pm you my gamer tag. The people on 360 are so dumb, I can't get past the second part because no one knows how to fly a helicopter.
Requirement: you must know how to pilot a chopper!
I've only played the first two mission. I like Exodus "the defend mission" but the helicopter mission got frustrating for me because I was the only person that remembered how to fly a chopper and I kept getting put in the gunner seat at first. The pilot kept crashing and repeat. I finally got to be pilot and was doing really well, but then at the last minute my partner quit.
I seriously advise to avoid public co op and play with friends.
The campaign isn't the horrible mode they say it is. It's just simple, point and shoot. It has some cool moments to show off the engine but that's all you should expect. Be glad they made a single player.
Btw it's the best SP they've done.
Personally I like the smaller conquest maps. They retain the graphical flare in the smaller maps compared to the bigger maps, where textures can see a big drop in resolution. I don't mind the graphics, but it can get hard to see people from far away.
I wonder how many users are affected.
