I think it's just a few people. I've had 15+ people over playing with my PSVR unit for at least 10-20 minutes each and only two people have felt a bit sick. My brother and I can both play for hours without feeling sick at all. I think Sony did a great job making sure that wasn't an issue for the majority of people.
I have been playing The Last Of Us on my pro and had no issues. Only game I had issues with was Skyrim SE and the patch yesterday fixed that now.
I'm waiting for the patch to fix my game. After the last patch on PS4 my game became unplayable. Crashes a minute into loading up every time. And now on my PS4 Pro it runs at low teen fps before it even crashes. So need a patch for it running on Pro properly to. Ugh, I was so into playing Skyrim again right before this happened.
On the plus side if you wait long enough you can usually get a $150-$200 collectors edition for under $50. I've got several expensive collectors editions that way. Very few actually pick up these stupid no game collectors editions. After a good while they just want them gone and put a crazy cheap tag on them.
I just picked up a 65 inch Samsung KS8500. Highly recommend it if your thinking about getting a new tv. 4K HDR ready. Looks gorgeous. The KS8000 is the same tv just not curved. rtings.com is a good place to check most tv reviews.
Yeah my game is unplayable at the moment. Not only did the latest patch make it so I only get about 5 min of play time before it crashes. While it is playing the frame rate is actually a lot worse than a drop of 2-4 fps. I'm thinking low to mid teams if I had to guess. It's bad. Looks amazing when I just stand still. But as soon as I move it just loses all control of anything and if I keep trying to play it then crashes.
Had no problems before the patch and pro. Pretty lame. ...
Yeah. The game wasn't terrible. It was a game for sure. But mediocre describes it perfectly. 4 missions on repeat that were all the same essentially anyway. No side missions. No dynamic world missions. No character or car customization. The story was good. I enjoyed that. Mostly. But the repetitive missions just made me not want to bother. Gameplay was fine. But it was easy enough to just ghost by with my knife 90% of the time so that got old to.
Not a terrible game like I said. ...
So many negative comments. I'm stoked. Brand new 4K tv. Brand new console to play upgraded and new games on. Fuckin stoked buds
Just picked up my new 65inch Samsung 8500 series 4K tv. So fucking stoked to get my PS4 Pro on Thursday!!! It's taking forever lol
God I hope not. I just want to relax on my couch sitting down to game. Plus sometimes my fingers do things in quick reaction I don't even think about. Just reflex from playing a game. Doubt that would happen with eye tracking controls or whatever they come up with to replace mouse and keyboard or controllers.
I'm maybe 7 or 8 hours in. I only had one very minor bug where I came around a corner and a mammoth was just floating there staring at me. He floated to the ground n walked away like it was nothing lol other then that all good so far.
I'm playing in PS4
Playing right now on PS4. I'm just happy to be playing it again. It's been 4-5 years I think since I played it last.
As someone who has already paid off the Pro and am excited to pick mine up, it's a bit confusing why they wouldn't put one in it. Pushing for 4k but not including it seems like a misstep. I would have liked to start picking up 4K blurays for my new tv. I know a lot of things will stream in 4K and that works, but damn my internet cap will have to be moved up and that right there will cost more money.
Why not? The single player will still be EPIC. And it prolongs the life of the game a lot. And me and my buddy's had a good time riding around together causing havoc on horse back in the first one
Can't we all just get along and enjoy all the shiny new consoles and games? Just appreciate the games we have and how far they have come since the NES days. Graphics are moot at this point. They are always amazing. Some better than others of course. But in general most AAA games and a lot of indie games look great.
Play all the games. On all the consoles or PC. Enjoy the age of video games we are in now regardless of "resolutions".
This is the world I want to...
Regular core unit in Canada goes for $599. Launch bundle goes for $699. After tax here your looking at around $782 for the launch bundle. And it's selling out everywhere here.
Think about that.
I can see demand getting pretty crazy as more and more people get a chance to try it. Literally EVERYONE I've had over to try mine immediately asks me how much mine cost me, I got the launch bundle. Just had buddy over this morning who wasn't even interested in trying it. Put him in Rush of Blood just to try something simple and he was talking about going n getting one right after.
VR is really something you have to try to understand for the average person.
I'm not disputing these claims at all, because until rockstar releases a map size in the future like they usually do we can't know. But how would this guy be able to even make a guess? He has nothing to do with development or games in general.
And if I had to GUESS on sales, I would guess roughly 30 million copies sold in the first year. Again a guess, but half of sold PS4's and half of the X1 owners buying a copy of what will arguably be the biggest game of next year do...
I've had about 9 people come over and try mine now and only 1 person has gotten motion sickness. But he can barely handle a carousel in real life so lol
No problems for myself. And I've been playing a couple hrs at a time.
Obviously some people will get a little queasy but so far it's been fine from my experience and seeing other people play.
As tech gets better and cheaper they will be able to figure all the motion sickness stuff out. Sony has already done a great job with what's on offer. Very few people who have used mine got sick at all. Hopefully VR continues to draw attention and does well sales wise. If it does then by the PSVR 2/oculus2/vive2 or whatever you want to call the next iteration of VR units, I think all that will be figured out and the specs will be higher.
