I have never had a problem playing in the dark with it. Never any gleaming off the screen or anything. My hands are more or less on my lap. Not held up high so the controller is directly in front of the tv.
I'm not trolling, I'm just generally curious why some people have problems with the light aside from a perceived battery issue.
Does no one else read sony articles/interviews? The light bar is there specifically for project Morpheus from what I've read multiple times. The PS4 and DS4 were all being designed with the Morpheus in mind. It will factor in with that and the camera.
That being said, as of right now it's next to useless and we should have the ability to turn it off. I personally enjoy it when it's used interestingly, like in tomb raider. But I have 2 controllers and a nyko chargi...
I would def buy these. This is why HD remakes are good sometimes. I only played threw a bit of the first Mass Effect. I really enjoyed it. The whole world and everything was just so full. But life came up and I got side tracked. But Iv heard nothing but good things from the series (aside from a shitty ending I guess in ME3). So I would love to try and run threw these before ME4.

I played the first chapter. But I decided to wait for the whole thing to be released on disk or as a download. It was is really good. And now I'm so glad I did.

It's lacking a bit in games. But in my opinion it has more then the X1. I have both systems. All my multiplats are for PS4. I have 8 games for my PS4 not including all the indies. I only have 4 for my X1 and those are just exclusives. Both systems need more games but it's early in both life cycles. We openly knew this when we got our systems at launch or soon after. We always knew it would be sporadic for w while. Why are people complaining about a lack of games now?

I have a theory that the reason there isn't a YouTube app yet is because they are working on making it fully integrated, much like twitch and the share button. So you would be able to upload your edited videos from the sharefactory then upload directly to YouTube.
I could be wrong. But that would take some time as it's more then a simple viewing app.
I hope YouTube is coming soon either way though.

Not everywhere, only in some markets or retailers. As soon as that is dropped everywhere then it's an official price drop. Retailers are doing it to recoup losses, like target for example. And certain markets are doing it because they were falling too far behind in sales compared to the PS4. Where I live even on amazon it's still $499. Granted it does come with Titenfall.

Well said. I have both systems, and I played all my multipat games last gen on my 360. Used the PS3 for exclusives. This gen I switched it up and only use my X1 for exclusives. As a gamer, not a fanboy, I don't understand why people deny the truth. I love both systems. But the PS4 is better all around. Mark Cerny and Sony did a great job.
Any one have any guesses when it will be released? I'd offer a guess but I'm too stoked to make a reasonable one.
GOD I can't wait to re play this on my ps4. I rocked it pretty hard on my 360. I've been fiending to jump back in for the past few months. But I'm waiting for this version so I don't burn myself out. I hope it's soon. They always just drop games or updates without warning. So hopefully soon it will be a late birthday surprise for me!

I played Ghosts a bit. Just more of the same. Nothing really wrong with it. Just old and boring now. I played BF4 on my PS4 for a while. It was better then Duty easily, but still didn't do it for me. I don't play with friends since non of them have moved up to the current gen yet. So I just got destroyed. I'd move to a building for cover, the building. came down. Respawn, same thing. I don't get where these "consoles are doomed" articles are coming from? Both consoles are selling very well. One batter then the other yes, but both are selling better then previous gens. The wii u isn't doing that well, but it seems like they're sales are picking up a bit. But as for PS4 and X1, there both doing better then okay.

Or just grab a nyko or similar brand charging dock for your controllers. $30 and it charges both at the same time. When I'm done playing I just put the controller back on the dock it's ready to go the next time I play. I got one for my PS4 and my X1. Never had to even switch controllers on either system yet.
Totally agree, I like it. It was cool in outlast and tomb raider. Plus it's actual purpose is for the Morpheus to use it with the camera later. Until then it's just a cool little feature to me. I've never had a single problem with it. I still don't even dim it. I don't see a point to even bother with it.
