Fatal Frame 5 is my perfect game for Halloween, though Transformers seems like it could be a good one this time. That, and Dragon Quest + Dynasty Warriors is all good in my books.
I'll say one good thing about Sonic '06. It didn't have Big the Cat in it. (Technically, Duke Nukem Forever did...weird)
I know many a person who'd love to raid those tombs, if you know what I mean.
Dr Bosconovich had him beat on the weirdness though!
Cool article. I'd maybe add Yuji Horii for Dragon Quest, the first JRPG ever, or maybe Shigesato Itoi with Mother/Earthbound.
I find ideas like this ridiculous. Controversial marketing may stick in people's minds, but can make people boycott a series, or just think of the company as stupid.
Confession time: I bought a LOT of the Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC, including all the costumes, but normally keep the characters in their normal clothes. The costumes are nothing more than Horse Armour. Contrary to this, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy had a load of costume DLC that actually had effects, ranging from useless to broken in power.
Square Enix has far too much of my money. :'(
I love a good strategy game, but when the dice rolls are not in your favour, it can really kill the experience.
The last time I saw this game, I swear it was half an hour of going down stairs. Glad to see that there's more to it now! :D
Lots of scares in this one! Glad I'm not the one playing, I get to laugh a lot more that way!
As a European, I'm gonna make sure I get this physically. I really feel sorry for Americans. After finally getting into the series, I'd hate to miss out on owning an entry.
I love how crazy ridiculous the Warriors games are! Hope to pick this one up soon!
Have some good memories of Star Wars Battlefront 2 on Xbox, loved the mix of tactical shooting and waving a lightsaber around like a god among men.
Liking the objectives in this one, giving more to do than most FPSs run and gun playstyle, but kinda wish there was more of a focus on it. I like my shooters smart!
Looks to be fantastic. This is exactly what I had hoped Reach's Invasion mode would be! Looking forward to that for sure!
Great review. Seems like it has a very deep narrative, and it looks beautiful. I'm just unsure of how well that meshes with the gameplay. Certainly worth a look though.
There has been a trend of late in Square-Enix games making linear games (Final Fantasy 13's corridors being the worst), but it feels like they're trying to scream "WE'RE SORRY" by returning to far more open sandboxes (Like Final Fantasy 15's massive world). Maybe Squeenix, maybe we can be happy together again.
Can't wait for this game! Sounds like a nice challenge, but I hope the Quick Time Events aren't too unforgiving, I'm always too twitchy!
What about Sonic The Hedgehog (2006)? I heard that was a great reboot!...Or not. :P
I think a proper JRPG style X-Men game would be fantastic. Interesting class system with psychics and elemental people like Jean Grey and Iceman, melee fighters like Wolverine, range with Cyclops, and more. I like the X-Men Legends games, but a proper RPG would be great.
Hope the English voice acting isn't too grating this time, kay?
