I'm pretty sure inFAMOUS 3 is going to happen because let's be honest everything is a trilogy nowadays and I remember reading somewhere that Cole in number 3 is going to get a teleportaion power like Nix and Kuo had.
I totally agree with you, that may not have come across in my previous comment but I do.
The idea I was trying to present was that Mass Effect 2 couldn't progress the plot because Mass Effect 3 was going to be the war against the Reapers and so number 2 couldn't advance the story to that point.
Your examples like Empire and Two Towers also come across the same problems. Obviously because the third film/book was going to be the 'final' battle ...
I'm confused as to why there isn't hate towards the idea of pre-order bonuses, and not just from EA.
Recently with the whole 'From Ashes' DLC 'scandal' (getting CE so doesn't bother me) gamers showed that they had had enough of being abused by companies who allegedly take content out of the game and sell it for extra.
Case in point. I pre-ordered Gears 3 and got a Baird skin with it. However Xbox Live messed up while trying to get ...
Don't make promises you can't keep huh
*nudges imaginary EA leader*
To each his own etc etc
But how is it the worst of the series?
Have you guys even played number 1, you know the one they made before it became the franchise for all PS3 users to worship.
You know the one where you had to equip grenades separately and use the sixaxis to adjust your aim. As someone who played it recently I can assure you good sir that number 1 is by far the worst in the entire series.
Good day :)
Yeah but remember that at the end of the day you have to make profit in order to continue your business.
Microsoft know how to make profit and yeah it would be nice to see more exclusives coming out on the 360 other then Gears and Halo at the end of the day they are doing the job.
Microsoft have created huge brands that are bringing in the moniez. Halo and Gears are I believe much bigger then say their PS3 counterparts. Yeah maybe not in the gaming community ...
Just in regards to the first paragraph of your comment.
So is the problem of the middle game.
Number 1 sets up the franchise.
Number 2 can't really develop the story that much or characters so can only really saunter about looking good
Number 3 finishes the story that was started.
This is the problem that comes with basing you games/films as a trilogy because number 2 can't end it. If you took Mass ...
@--Onilink--
I was gonna write that but then decided not to, I'm sure I had a reason.
Anyway the point you make is correct. If you don't want to be gay in Mass Effect 3 then don't. I highly doubt that the game will MAKE you do it so everybody should just calm the fudge down.
like you said 'well the thing is that is up to YOU to keep the consistency'
And here is raised an interesting point.
In Dragon Age 2 (not sure about origins) you could be gay but no one really cared. Why? Because it was a brand new setting with brand new characters to interact and oh yes, a brand new protagonist. This meant that the idea of sexuality could be explored with Hawke because you had no background on what he 'liked'. Therefore for him to be gay was okay in the game.
However the idea of Shepard being gay after two ...
It's an interesting list and at the end of the day everyone is entitled to their own.
However it's interesting that with hindsight and sequels to those previous games how bad they are now.
Something like Mass Effect 1 at the time was amazing but now I wouldn't put myself through the pain of playing it now.
Also I prefer the way he's done the list. Instead of just picking one for each year and picking a selection. I think more ...
1. Pic is sweet
2. Why the hell did everyone leave the shuttle at the same time? No seriously!?
I played Mass Effect 2 times more over the last month (wanted a few more files to import) and I just couldn't get over the fact that everyone on the team just gets up and leaves. Then Miranda has the nerve to have a go at the guy with brittle bone disease for not saving the day...the fudge?!
Anyway I had a go at Uncharted 3 for the same reason ...
Good article with interesting points raised
@SilentNegotiator
It's not the language in question that isn't funny. It's the excessive use of it that dilutes the effect it has so that even about half way through the game it simply has no humorous effect anymore because it's used every few words (you know what I mean).
If they had spaced the language out saving it for critical moments or really funny ones then it would've had a much grander impact on the experience as a whole.
...
I want a sequel to Republic Commando.....
and it should be called Imperial Commando.....
and you should hunt Jedi in between the events of episode 3-4
Make that game plz :)
I had it on Game till I saw this story on IGN this morning.
Checked the other sites and the collectors was everywhere.
The only reason that I pre ordered from game was because only they had it.
Now that Shopto has it, done deal.
Also apparently you get a £5 reward card from Game if you pre ordered, but I can't be asked really :)
Anyone looking for the collectors edition can get it from Shopto, Zavvi or Play.
I'd recommend Shopto as its the cheapest and somehow always manages to deliver the game a day before release.
So you agree but are a little harsher then me.
That's cool *high 5*
So if DLC is released months after launch and improves on a part of the game that wasn't so well received or the community wanted to expand is that a cash grab?
Common sense would dictate that it would be better to do DLC rather then to stretch the content out into a brand new £40 retail release (every sports game ever, Assassins Creed etc).
What you should've and probably meant to say/type is that if priced right then DLC = Win.
Yeah it appears I got a little ahead of myself and meant to say/type that the one in the bottom right is just a rachni, not the queen.
My bad it's just in the book it talks about the Queen so I just typed that without checking up on it.
Also the second part of your comment. Does that suggest that you have seen/read/played a section of ME3 where the Rachni Queen (inevitably) shows up?
Don't spoil it just wondering :)
Competition is good for the customer.
If one company raises the bar then the others will have to play catch up.
Therefore all us customers win :)
