EA has online passes, DRM, sticks multiplayer into everything and is having micro-transactions in all further products.

Activision makes COD every year, no passes, no DRM, makes COD DLC packs, Elite service is now free I believe and as of today Black Ops 2 is getting micro-transactions.

I think its pretty clear overall.

What about N4G?

Also Edge is sweet, don't hate on them.

Seriously though by your definition there is not a single not fanboyish website on the web.

Gotta say I didn't see no. 1 coming but it's always nice when a list surprises you.

Although I would add, WHERE IS RATCHET AND CLANK WHY NO ONE LIKE THOSE GAMES!!!!?!??

....seriously

I see it like this.

The nex gen is nearly upon us but there is one last chance to release some bug guns before we say goodbye to this gen.

Last of us
GOW: Ascension and Judgment
GTA 5

We're going out with a bang.

Gotta say while I'm not the biggest fan of the series, as a game I love how creative these guys are.

Just watched the first 30 mins on Ign and when that hand turned into that bug...thing I nearly jizzed creatively.

I'm that kind of guy.

I meant 'port-like-thing'.

I should've made it clearer, sorry about that but the point still stands.

Why would you want to play ass creed or say uncharted on your vita when the no doubt better console version is available for the same price?

What a handheld game should be is like the mobile gaming apps we see today: something quick to start, easy to play and quick to put down because the point of handheld gaming is to allow someo...

I still do not see the appeal of trying to make a big console port (basically) for a handheld console.

They just aren't meant to be.

Vanquish is one of the best third person shooters I've ever played.

A nice mix of uber masculine western males and the ridiculousness of the east.

Love it.

I know exactly how you feel.

I spent 15 hours on Border 1 and came away incredibly bored, never to play it again.

I'm already on 21 hours with 2, have tried out 2 of the classes and am finding it seriously difficult to spend my free time on anything else.

It's a very well made sequel, honestly.

Recently got a Senneheiser headset.

Sweet baby Jesus I didn't realise sound could sound so good.

Def recommend.

My biggest problem was that it was 'too' big.

Basically I ended up getting distracted too much from the main story and so when I tried getting back into the game I just didn't care about progressing anymore.

I'll surely try again soon, maybe start a new game.

All I'll say is this: the game wasn't really fun all by my lonesome.

If I hear good things from the community about how Borderlands 2 is fun to play without any other players then I'll def pick it up.

Those points do make it sound appealing though.

R1 - Great
R2 - Generic meh
R3 - Best FPS of 2011 by far

The problem with it (as with all PS3 exclusives really) is that they just don't have as much buzz created as Microsoft does for theirs.

I saw a few banners over London for R3 but I bet barely anybody knew what the game was unless they were into gaming.

Shame really because the whole franchise had great potential and had a great developer behind it.

It better not die...
and it totally is one the the best franchises ever...
but hopefully it can add to the formula with the next big installment

I like ME2 quite a lot actually, it's tempting to say more then ME1 but I might be banned form the internet so let's move swiftly on.

I always look at LOTR as a well planned trilogy. The first book set the scene and began to explore the world and its characters/factions. The second book built on the world constantly but also added more 'action' you could say (a result of the stakes being raised). The third book tied everything nicely together and ended it.

That's kinda what happens to most third acts.

1 - talking
2 - action
3 - bit of both

I think ME3 falls into that category.

I think you kinda missed the point, no offence.

It isn't saying that the game is the best/worst but more like 'here are some argument for and against, in case you were wondering'.

It's that idea that each and every game can at times be viewed as good or bad but each individual must make up their own verdict on the game.

Well it was supposed to be serious but clearly I stepped over some line somewhere in the dark.

Care to indulge me?

White guy who ends up leading a tribal gang against opposing forces.

Sounds pretty generic to me.

4967d ago 2 agree9 disagreeView comment

I'm pretty sure they do.

However the list would be ridiculous. They would have to dig so deep into their history and franchises that we probably wouldn't recognise more then half the cast.
