Fair enough. I have beat DS countless times. I could get the platinum in a day if this was a straight up remaster. This is a ground up remake though not a remaster.
I share your sentiment most times especially when it comes to EA but there are certain games I spare no expense for. I bought the deluxe edition which is 80 I think lol. I would only feel regret if they somehow managed to ruin the original.

I have already paid for dead space, resident evil 4 and atomic heart. I’m excited to attack dead space again, it’s easily one of my favorites of all time. RE4 as well.
Dead rising was the worst one I’ve ever tried. I haven’t tried it with the modern console “rest mode” but the 360 didn’t have that.

I can think of worse investments. It’s unusual to see embracer getting called out. Everybody is always focused on MS and Sony while tencent and embracer run the gamut. I have come to expect the worst in peoples binary, black and white world view. Even the FTC is limited by such a narrow vision.

I’m a die hard evil dead fan and I wanted to like this so bad but I just couldn’t get into it. It’s not my type of game. I would have preferred a single player story experience. Even though it’s not my type I have no regrets in supporting the franchise with the day one purchase.

Sure they lose but what is their K/D ratio? Their budget is half a billion dollars. An agency built on consumer protections by the government with the most expensive lawyers money can afford. If they didn’t win I’d be upset honestly. If they don’t then why do we pay them? Are they worth the debt is a more accurate question. If they are bringing dumb cases with dumb lawyers then where is the money going?
