I think the chart is for America only.
From the N4G guidelines under the topic, "Things that will lower your comment limit":
"Making up “funny” names for consoles like PayStation 3 and CrapBox 360, seriously these jokes are so old so please save your self the humiliation."
You are NOT clever. "glitchbox", "xbots", and all the other lame names you use are not original or funny. They show your immaturity. Grow up.
As for proving you wrong, I will...
It's actually 327 by my count. I think that's pretty decent.

I have to disagree Conan. I don't see anything in the article that says the games are selling poorly overall, just poorly in Japan. I'm pretty sure if a company sells 1 million copies of a game they're happy, regardless of where the sales came from.
I completely forgot about Mac. Has Apple said anything about which format(s) they will support?
That's probably true...but more HD DVD drives out in the market can't hurt. The only thing is that if HD DVD really took off as a storage medium for computers, that could probably help them in their fight against Blu-ray. To have that though, Toshiba would really have to get some cheap burners out in the market fast.
A game like this is all about the "feel", and this game feels almost perfect. The control is great and the customization options are endless. I have to concentrate so hard to hit the corners just right that I don't even notice the backgrounds anyway.
I'm not picking on you at all, I just wanted to let you know that it's "Virginia Tech", not "Vaginia Tech". I wouldn't normally point out a spelling error, but Virginia is a state, a vagina is part of the female anatomy. :)
I completely agree with your statement though!
I think "sad" or "pathetic" are better words to describe this guy...but yes, strange as well.
I feel for people like him, clearly his parents didn't hug him enough or something. This game was obviously created because he desperately craves attention, and people let it work. Why can't we just ignore him? Why does he get an interview? That's just the kind of attention he wanted. Since he got what he wanted, now he'll just keep offending people.
While I completely despise Rush, I appreciate his rational comments on this topic. Violent video games can certainly harm unstable people, but the people had to have existing issues first. I would guess that most killers such as this one at Virginia Tech were probably neglected or abused by their parents. Clearly this person was just angry at the world, as we've seen from the plays that he wrote. Video games don't cause that kind of anger in normal, mentally healthy people.
First, my thoughts and condolences go out to all family, friends, and fellow Hokies today...a truly black day in our history.
Second, to some of the people on here, horrific events like this happen all over the world. Part of the reason this is such big news is that you don't expect it here...especially in a sleepy town such as my beloved Blacksburg. America is not a horrible place, it's full of wonderful caring people as well as a-holes (such as this shooter)...just like any...
So, as a general statement, the UK has similar tastes in movies to Americans. That's too bad...Hollywood has gone way down hill...especially in the last several years. I think Snakes on a Plane is just a perfect example of how sad the state of American cinema is. I don't blame the studios though, it's a business and those are the types of movies that people pay to see. (No, I have not seen Snakes...I guess I can't bash it until I've seen it)
As for studio size, it depends o...
Deepbrown - Since you're in Europe, can you give me some insight into the percentage of movies in theaters that come from US studios vs European / Other studios? I was in Paris on my honeymoon a few months ago and every theater I passed seemed to have basically the same movies that were in the US theaters. Unfortunately at the time in was "Snakes on a Plane"...and this made me realize why many people around the world think American cinema is crap. Anyway, I know there are countle...
I read in an article somewhere that it only upscaled with the HD DVD add-on...but now that I think about it I can't remember where I saw that and I guess I never looked into it further. If that is the case the review makes more sense...thanks for setting me straight! :)
The 360 must be on as well since it does all of the processing of the video. I understand your concern on reliability...can't offer much support there other than to say that I have been using my 360 as a DVD / HD DVD player for quite a while now and it's still working beautifully. I figure that by the time it wears out my 360 I'll be able to buy a new one with HDMI and the smaller processor cheap! :)
Why does it have to be about the 360? I think the Wii has more consoles in homes in Japan than the PS3 and 360 combined. Maybe all the Wii owners want it on their system? I doesn't seem like it would go well on the Wii considering the graphics and Square's obsession with pre-rendered video...but I can't blame the Wii owners for wanting it.
Fair enough...but I still don't see any mention of the upscaling abilities. That is a big selling point for me and it's one of the main reasons I would rate the add-on higher than they did.
** EDIT ** - Sorry DeepBrown, but that one line in the product feature list doesn't count. They could have copied it off the MS webpage for all I know. If it's not in the review, it tells me that they didn't include it in their analysis of the product. It's a major advantage of the add-o...
In case you didn't know, you don't have to have a Gold subscription to get these updates or access any of the content on Live. So technically, it's free as well. If you're referring to the ability to play online for free...then yes, that's a nice bonus for PSN.
"I mean is this it? Is this now officially all live is? They have reached as far as they are going to go with minor improvements from here on out."
I don't think it's fair to assume that MS is ...
What was that? A non-biased comment that contributed to the conversation? Your kind isn't welcome here! :)
What I like about it is that it might actually give some competition to the Unreal Engine. If everyone only used UE3, then we probably wouldn't see a whole lot of progress over this generation. Competition will drive both of them to improve.
Fast development time + AAA graphics = happy gamers!
