On topic: Game looks great, but the guy that was playing acted like he was scared. Dude, it's a demo, go balls out so we can see some cool shit, I've seen corner camping before.

Only some of the cars in the demo had the damage model seen in the video. I'm guessing that means the demo is from an older build, which means the damage could look even better now. November 2nd can't come soon enough!
Except that a headlight in GT5 has more geometry in it than an entire car in GTA4. The level of calculation needed for models as sophisticated as those seen in GT5 is in a different league to GTA.
I'm purposely staying away from shooters at the moment, simply because I know I'll be drowning in Killzone and Crysis come early next year. Can't fucking wait!
Edit: Looks like that other article saying the 360 version looked like shit was itself full of shit. Good to hear, although I don't see how he thinks MW2 is a good comparison graphically. While the graphics certainly weren't bad, MW2 is a bit behind the curve. Crysis 2 looks much better, IMO.
Actually, as far as consoles go, it is. Can you name another racer on consoles that has done procedural damage?
Didn't think so.
Correction, not a single car in Forza had procedural damage, it was all canned. And at least the cockpits in GT will all be correct.

On topic: This is procedural, which is worlds apart from the damage seen in other racing games on consoles. Also, most production cars won't just fall apart like a proper racer will. Another thing is that the poster has claimed that damage isn't even all the way on in the demo.

Demon's Souls is better than any RPG on 360, IMO. Also, I think Uncharted is better than Gears and Halo has the art direction of a Disney cartoon. MS better start buying some exclusives, 'cause next year is looking pretty bleak.

I pay attention to the k/d in Bodycount, which is entirely the point of said mode. Also, reviving people without paying attention to what is around you isn't very strategic. I like that I will have the option to get revived on the spot, or to take a respawn which might put me closer to an objective. See, strategy.
This just goes to show the level of artistic talent that exists in the industry. The attention to detail in the character models is staggering.
