This. I find myself replaying games from the mid nineties to early 2000s often these days. My physical collection has reached such a size I could easilly survive on just the RPGs in my collection.
Nope. Dont couple Sony with MS. Just because things didnt work out for MS doesnt mean that Sony will follow suit. Sony's current model works and they are well aware of it.
This happens when 75% of your consoles sold are the digital edition. They really shot themselves trying to outprice Sony and push Gamepass.
Why is MS doing away with their physical games? Nextbox streaming only as per the rumours? If so its DOA.

Placed my preorder for the Deluxe as soon as they opened up. This game will easilly reach their sales expectations.
For titles that Square agrees to. I doubt they would want to devalue their big titles. They following Rockstar's rationale when it comes to gamepass and subscription services. Why put them on a service at launch when they sell? They may not sell on XBOX but they do sell.

Imagine being an XBOX owner watching the developer direct and seeing the Square tab pop up. Your heart stops because you expecting FF7 Remake of FFXVI but you get a Legend of Mana game. Shame
XBOX owners did not buy Kingdom Hearts, did not buy Crises Core and a slew of other Square games. Why would Square consider releasing FF17 on XBOX? Instead of cheerleading gamepass XBOX owners should BUY games. Then developers and publishers will throw them shade. PS. Square don't release their games day one on subscription services, they give them legs to sell.
That was with the significant discount for the Series X. Series S was 150 pounds if you really looked for that deal or 200 pounds. Meanwhile PS5 easilly cruising at 550.
And very soon XBOX will be no more. At least no console to speak of. Mark my words when that day comes Im going to have a field day.
