played a little of suikoden 2, was alright, but willing to give that another try sometime diwn the line after hearing all its praise.

played another one on the ps2 and hated it. cant remember which one it was but i didnt bother getting past the first bit which was in a castle i think.

can anyone recommend which ones are the good ones and what platform they are for? is the series more about characters, story or gameplay?

we know ps4 is doing great numbers, its probably matching wii sales at this point in time.

the xbone is still doing great numbers, i think its ahead of what 360 or ps3 was at this point.

however, they are not doing well enough to compete with ps4 which is why there is price cuts. they also dont want to offer sales data or comment on npd because they are behind unlike last gen.

sony is just killing it this gen thats all, and im proud to own a...

they probably will, but who cares. if the people from china was willing to pay around US$2000+ for iphone 6 just to get it one or 2 weeks earlier than official launch who cares what government says.

ok, lets keep this real. having xbone sell well in china wont mean much to everyone outside china. we would never be able to play a game with them. only thing it will do is make ms more money.

will xbone do well in china? its very hard to say, its unproven in that territory but i guess its a brave move and hope they do well.

can xbone players even add people from china as friends?

sorry didnt hear about that.

however, it doesnt stop the fact that pstv is lacking a decent ui. we can all safeky say that pstv ui doesnt suit being on tv. its very nice for a handheld, but thats all it.

sony has the content, with this deal, even better. just fix the ui.

Personally I think Sony rushed this device a little too soon. but maybe they are aiming for a different demographic then what I feel they should have aimed at.

From the price and the name of device i am presuming that it is aimed towards competing with apple TV, amazon TV etc.
yet the UI is nowhere near as simple as the competing devices. I think that the menus should be separated similar to the old XMB. Music, Movies, games, settings etc.

The PSN sto...

Agreed.

I think Vita and PSTV are different products. despite PSTV being a stripped down Vita with less compatibility it does it differently because its on the TV and has a control pad.

I think Sony's marketing angle on this right now is a TV device that is compatible with PSone,PSP,Vita and PS3 games and will play PS4 games if you have a PS4. I think PS4 not having PSone cmpatibility atm will help the PSTV sell (i know PS3 has it).

In a sense, but i think Sony basically released another poduct not knowing who its aimed at.

I personally think that they needed to rework the UI. give it more of a TV friendly look. Haven't used Google, Apple or Amazon. But I presume that the Ui will be better than Playstations.

I also find that the UK vita is lacking in TV options. just lacking the apps which are available on PS3/4.

Apart from that it may do well.

thats definitely a way to go. either that or allow digital trades.

its pretty much upto steam to lead the way of digital pricing and structure. they are probably a generation or 2 ahead of the rest.

think steam was implementing that game share thing ms was planning as long as the user was not online. think they also trying to implement some sort of trading aystem aswell. hope that will be succesful.

4296d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

pretty much what you said.

i like to add that steam can do this because of hardware as you mentioned as well as PC games not really sold in retail stores anymore.

i disagree, what made psone succesful was that cd allowed publishers to release games very cheaply compared to cartridge based games.

i think publishers paid sony probably a dollar or 2, but for nintendo they probably had to pay around $5?

piracy on n64 was also cheaper on the long run. i used to purchase pirated psone games for around $5 (equivalent to that anyway, not from us) per disk. also needed a mod for some that cant do disk swap trick. pirated games ...

agreed ms drm was not against piracy but used games.

i think being cheap or convinience plays a big role in piracy. i mean if i were to download a game for my psp, i know that sony servers are slow, it will be quicker for me to download from a torrent, transfer onto memory card and then play on my psp. probably the same can be said for 360 games.

steam has done a pretty good job with their service, they do have some drm enforcements but not enough to pis off...

tbh, its very hard to avoid being hacked. its more about providing a service that is more convinient than a piated service.

for example, i had a cfw psp. i bought games physical when they came out in eu. but they were never opened and left on the side. however, i would download the us version (pal regions took forever) and have a selection of games on my memory card. a lot more convinient.

now with xbone, it allowed 1 license per physical disk. if traded in a...

piracy is definitely worse.
rental is also bad.
preowned games is not as bad as it was before since there are lots of dlc to make from those preowned games owners.

preowned games keeps retailers alive and sony still needs those around to sell the consoles.

i guess its different for every country, i think japan doesnt allow rentals. uk retailers are not so important since supermarkets like asda(walmart) provide better deals than vg stores.

does gta really need bigger cities? would just be empty places which takes devs way too long to develop.

i found gtaiv big and thats supposedly a lot smaller than v right? they should concentrate on putting even more details in the city instead.

im 50/50 with these remakes. if its a good port then why not. if its bad then its just a wasted effort.

la noire was cool, but i didnt really enjoy the open world mechanics of that game. just didnt seem neccesary. i didnt get too far in the game so that may be why.

4296d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

that game was on ps+ but i still havent gotten a chance to play it yet. ive heard that it does suffer from having a smoth framerate, so would love for that to happen.

4296d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

as far as definitive or collections go. its probably uncharted trilogy that has most demand.

others i will probably just want a sequel or a complete remake.

loved warhawk, but never played starhawk. so a sequel to wither one of them would be nice.

mgo was amazing, kojiima productions la is working on the sequel. hope it won't take itself too seriously.

heavenly sword was great, would love a sequel from ninja theory.
