i know you ran out of bubbles, so you cant reply to this comment.
i just wanted to see if that was an actual factor that was important. i think gears was a good enough game to not have that.
we know that sony is pushing indies more than anyone and they are willing to market these exclusive indies.ms wants to stop indies from making exclusive deals with sony but indies may not be so interested because they need this coverage.
atm, what multiplat indie game is about to be released at the same time is being marketed? i havent heard of any and its probably because none are being made or they are just not getting mentioned anywhere.
the parity clause is ok imo. they want to push indie devs to aim for xbone at the same time aswell.
not sure if sony has a parity clause, but im sure they will market a game differently if these games were going to be exclusive in some sense and ms stance is to stop indies from choosing this route.
at this moment in time, its best for indies to go exclusive to a console to boost awareness, maybe in a year or 2 when sony and xbox are not marketing these games ...
as most psople said here already, arcade racers do not need to be open world. it has been a trend and those games are fun. but some can be trackbased aswell. pgr and metropolitan street racer was fun arcadey style racers and they worked out fine. i guess evolution studios are made from a lot of these guys.
arcade vs sim? this game is arcade from the start, it seems like everyone knew this apart from the journalist or people in the gaming industry. the playstation podcast &quo...
perfect summary. /end topic.
gore and brutaility? is that something you enjoy?
kind of different games to compare with each other tbh. uncharted always felt more arcadey action more than a 3rd person shooter.
wasted my time reading this crap.
thats what needs to be mentioend in the article itself.
for the industry to grow bigger.
however, you are right in a sense that why should we care about other opinions.
i do however feel that unneccesary violence needs to be cut out of gaming, just puts me off.
lets play aint too bad. i actually think lets plays should be watched after you played the game.
its practically the same as watching a dvd commentary first, before watching the actual movie.
the problem with 5 & maybe 6 was that they were too reliant on players having fun with their friends in co-op.
multiplayer experiences ruin the horror mood. can you imagine an ai character with you 24/7 in the original games, or even in games like silent hill.
what are its roots? is it gaming mechanics and limitations from the 90's?
sites always talk about re and its roots but never say what the roots actually were.
tank controls?
fixed camera angles?
storytelling?
singleplayer experience?
tight corridoors?
less enemies and choice to kill them?
music?
no weapon carrying monsters/humans?
is sexuality in games really a new panic?
i still hear people talking about violence in games whenever a big release gets out.
i mean we do get gaming sites talk about sexuality a lot, but these are just click baits like every other gaming sites. there is no panic and most people dont care.
i understand the point about people thinking games are for kids. but not really understanding anything else.
was it a good thing you watched scarface as a child? was it easier to get hold of than it is now for kids? whats changed in these 20 years. and how does the media need to get with the times?
genuine questions since you didnt realy explain in detail.
i watched a lot of violent movies as a child and i dont think it has affected me too mu...
a well written article, but probably directed to the wrong audience. we pretty much know difference.
however, if we were to generalise gaming as a whole then they are in a sense too violent.
mk for an example, do we really need to pull hearts out or show blood pouring out everywhere? sf does fighting perfectly without gore.
gta is also a fantastic game, and in a sense isnt really too violent compared to others, but its just the fact that we c...
havent really heard anyone say this, but what features are you actually talking about?
and you are correct, uncharted doesnt really need much features from tlou. 2 totally different games.
action movies without one liners are boring. well not boring but it gives it a little charm.
chuck a dark theme onto indiana jones and its still going to have that enjoyable comedic feel with all those characters.
uncharted will be great as long as nathan drake is as witty as ever. replace joel with nathan in the last of us and that would have felt like a completely different game.
the problem is not with youtube personalities. they are just doing PR for a game.
youtubers like totalbiscuit has a video explaining why he didnt take the deal, its because he doesnt want to do PR for that game, he wants to do critique it by doing a first impression/review on the game which the pr company hired by WB for youtube related stuff will not let him have access to the review copy.
most youtubers who want to review the game was not given a chance to ...
