dlc is there to add content so that gamers cling onto games for longer and do not resell them. 2nd hand sales decrease means new game sales increase.
its great news and sad news at the same time. 1 mil is an achievement, but the time it has taken is just terible. maybe when the next batch of games to be released will boost the sales.
for sony to reach a bigger audience, they need to look at those potential consumers and figure out what they want from the service.
think about vod services at the moment, in the uk it is very new and most people still watch from tv/sattelites. for vod services to work they need to be more innovative, have more advertisements for freemium members, etc...
if i were sony i would:
-have advertisements like tv/youtube to maintain a stable revenue stream.

camera technology such as facial recognition, eye tracking, motion detection is improving every single day and in a few years time maybe a tiny little cheap camera which works a few times quicker and more efficient than kinect
yeah it does look great, but the framerate and controls are terrible.
Played a little demo and it just seemed like there was some kinda control lag or maybe just bad framerate.
The map I was playing on was a little empty as well, not sure if the previous person just killed a bunch of people or if that area was meant to have no one around.
Just saying that graphics doesn't mean everything when the gameplay and controls aren't smooth.
So when someone says most PC's are not as powerful as a PS3, it actually means that no one has a PC that is more powerful than a ps3??????

Lets presume most means atleast 70%+. I believe that over 80% of PC's out there are weaker than a PS3. However, I am not saying that PC gamers PC's are weaker than a PS3 though. Gonna pull statistics out of my arse and say...

Jaffe's idea of having a small budget to make a survival horror game for digital download is great, that could keep the classic RE fans happy. Capcom doesn't want to risk spending so much on a survival horror game because it probalby won't sell.
However, I think there is a simple solution to making new RE games more like survival horror. All they need to do to revive the survival horror element is take away stupid checkpoints.

haven't played 6 yet so can't really comment, but it seems like RE cannot be fixed unless it is rebooted.
Too many different fans want different things from the genre.
I mean look at RE4 being the most amazing game ever that revolutionised whatever... blah blah blah... that game just ripped the soul out of RE and made it actiony. I do get freaked out playing RE games but when playing 4 & 5 it is pretty easy to get through the game.

Never played the outbreak series. IN UK/PAL regions it was only single player so it put me off(even though I didn't even have the broadband adapter).
From what it looks like, Outbreak had great tank controls, an improved version from Code Veronica. Not saying much but for RE fans it probably was perfect.
I don't understand how Capcom can create a whole game based on mercenaries but not on a new outbreak game.

Some people just prefer to sell consoles they don't use and get as much money out of it as possible. I personally jsut keep them because I feel that I am getting ripped off for selling it.

its not really about who started or who came up with the idea first, its more on the line of who pulls it out better.
Microsoft wasn't first to go online but they were able to profit and keep a stable online service where people didn't mind to pay.

Don't understand why you have that many disagrees though. People should pay for things that are not available for free, especially items that are not a neccesity.
Gaming is for entertainment reasons only, if you cannot afford it then wait for a price drop, buy it second hand or borrow it off a friend(I understand that renting is not allowed in Japan).

This game definitely got alot of respect and success.

only played bits of the game and it seemed fun. Would work out great as a portable game.

if dc universe was released as a f2p than it may have made a bigger and better impact. shame that it flopped
