It was just on sale on GOG and Steam. As soon as it goes back on sale on GOG I'm getting it. It's on sale on Steam right now though actually. As Birdi said this will be perfect for VR on PS4 or PC.
Yeah. I just got the first one on GOG. Can't wait to play the second one. Was going to sell my second GPU but I Have a feeling I might need SLI for the third installment.
No, that's the MS "Cloud Experience" emulator. Look at the screen.
He said he is using mouse and keyboard.
I'm surprised he can find time away from playing Gone Home to make these insightful videos.
Okay, then I agree with most of what you are saying. I wouldn't say they will certainly be as powerful as PS4 (for gaming anyway) in 5-6 years considering they are just catching up to last gen consoles.
I agree that mobile devices will pass a threshold where they don't need to be much more powerful for most common activities. Of course there might be video editing, high end gaming, etc. that would be better suited to PC/Mac with more power as resolution and detail rise.
"... which is a good thing, cause it just means there will be a bigger focus on actual visual design and originality,"
I almost 100% agree with this part.
"plus obviously amazing hardware will become more and more affordable."
As it always is. There are advantages to laptops and advantages to tablets as an example. There should be no reason people can't have a choice. You are a strong proponent of "mobile technolo...
@Yi-Long:
Maybe they will catch up to the Wii U in 4-5 years. Probably not the PS4.
"The speed in which (especially) smartphones are evolving at the moment, is astonishing."
Yes and no. They are still bound to certain limitations that aren't present in PCs and consoles. The exact reason why tablets are just catching up to 8 year old video game consoles.
In 4-5 years consoles/PC will have advanced as well.
Exactly. Many devs are still learning how to properly optimize games for multiple cores. With the current trend towards lower power consumption and the next generation of consoles out we will see a lot in terms of optimization in over the course of the next few years. Especially with the more efficient lower level APis being released.
I'm sold if it will work well with games I get on GOG too, like The Witcher series.

Maybe if you can be a bit more tolerant of other people's perspectives they will hear you out Chickey.
My laptop is already "slim" enough and has two GT 650M cards. Pretty sure I can't use SLI on battery but don't care. At least this "slim" trend will keep my gaming laptop relevant for the next few years. Work needs to be done on optimization anyway.
Having to login to play games you paid for in many casees....
Right now we have options. If you want to go all digital that's fine. I will buy physical and digital depending on the situation. I think the idea that it has to be strictly one or the other is crazy.
The industry looks very healthy either way.
As shown the PS3 version is sharper in my opinion. To me they both look awesome though because it's Dark Souls 2. Not sure if I will play it on PC or wait until I get another ps3. Can't wait to hear what people have to say about it.
It is a Funny way to try and spin something while the facts show that consoles are more popular than ever before.
I think the game looks really smooth and I agree with him that the possibility of having to give up some of those particle effects would have been a bummer.
Always interesting to see which games IGN thinks need to be "held to a higher standard".
