from what we know this video or tech demo is running off of the PlayStation 4 dev kit the question is which dev kit are we seeing? the reality is what is being shown is using a 1.5 gig of ram dev kit so this is an older version and not even close to the 4 to 8 gig dev kit...

The issue is XBLG set a standard that could not be matched for several years and now it is and for free. With more and more gamers/consumers opting for PSN for it's free nature or even PSN + for all the free titles the playing field had been leveled.
That was all in the past with PS3 being the lead console for media streaming it showed that gamers do not prefer to pay a fee just to gain access to pay another fee to access their streaming services....

1) A huge portion of gamers buy used so any console that does not support that demographic loses market share.
2) Out of the gamers who buy used not all only buy used, many do trade ins towards new games...which Gamestops reports which is a proven fact.

You must have missed the point with Daryl in season 2...his character really was brought out and he went through a real transformation in season 2.
What happened to Daryl in season 2 led him to become my families favorite character...and that's all the way through season 3.

Being able to connect with the character is being able to relate to them which is only enhanced if the characters appearance and settings sell the immersion aka look better or depending on the art style being more realistic....
So yeah if you are going to capture a more realistic setting then having characters look more lif...

You do realize Ready at Dawn did the other two sequels right...Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta were not done by the Santa Monica Studios.
This was the 1st prequal done by SSMS and it proved that it was stronger than all of the previous titles by a clear margin.

All jokes aside there is some important things going on in the gaming press industry that are not good.
1) It's been a long gen and fatigue has set in so existing IP's that are getting sequels are reviewing lower than they should.
2) Reboot IP's are reviewing higher than they should due to their long absences from true AAA status.
If part 2 was your favorite then you need to go buy Ascension...it's wait for it...even better.
For the longest time part 2 was my favorite in the series but Ascension trumps it on pretty much every level.
Don't go by the demo buy the game and play it...you will see what I mean.
The reviewers leave out a lot of stuff that radically changes the series for the better...trust me I have all the platinums to prove I'm a fan of the fra...
Crap reviewers nothings changed and yeah Qore Gamers should stand up against this! Scores do matter because of 2 reasons 1 metacritic can kill a title quickly and 2 poor sales due to bad reviews means no more sequels to games you love.

I have both a my Samsung Note and Note 10.1 and guess what I still have my Vita. No smart phone or tablet can replace a dedicated gaming console...and only a anti gamer would believe that.

Yeah Skyrim on the 360 versus PS3 is a clear example of how RAM plays a huge roll in either random effects or large effects loading.
RAM is what devs have been asking for more of because for console gaming it making things like dynamic lighting quick texture loading and even more particul effects possible...
