Id have to disgree and say Moga controllers hold a definite advantage to due to out of the box compatibility (ps u gotta download some programs for it to work), but the biggest deal is mogas have built in screen holders while u play.

Vita recented reverted back to an lcd screen, so its no longer oled. (Not even joking google it). But ya previous editions were oled.
Other than mandatory paid online, they really have hit a grand slam.
Ps4 is far better than the Ps2 was in terms of hardware potiental. The original xbox was twice as powerful as the ps2 and included a built in 20gig hard drive, ethernet port, and 4 controller ports. Ps2 u had to purchase all those components seperately and used memory cards.
Sweet rig but idk I woulda shelled out an extra $50 bucks for 770 card. Gpu is single most important component for gaming, so I never like to skimp in that area.
Just buy a gaming pc and you never have to apologize for no BC, paying for online, or whether or not your fav will spudder along and hit low end 1080p.

Ps3 at the current sale and with free online play is about the best deal out there right now. Especially if your on a lower budget.
Imo, vita may reach out to some consumers. The killer app may just be the streaming of ps4 games.
However, the problem is now the vita is pretty long in the tooth and starting to show its age with the hardware specs. Plus vita games arent exactly cheap. Add to this Nvidia Shield, 3ds, Ipad and Moga console like controllers for andriod phones. All these have various levels of pros and cons too dont get me wrong.
But I think the ps4 will breath some new life in...

What I take from it that while the ps4 and xbox have much longer legs down the road, why pay a premium today to get a skeleton console that really wont take off for another 1-2 years. Not to mention paid online. Early adopters always kinda get hosed in that sense.

The fatal flaw with your analogy here is that no dev has ever said that. So im going with the cell was not some advanced calculus algorithm to code for, but instead was its own quirky unique cpu that didnt translate all to x86 cpus. Luckily it will be extinct soon and everyone will be better off because of that.
They learned specifically to code uniquely for the cell, which will soon be like an ancient and dead language. Sony wised up this generation to using that non-sense.
Cant go wrong either way. Especially since they the last consoles to offer free online gaming.
