If your really concerned with paying for gas, food, water, etc, maybe you shouldn't be spendy any money at all on luxury items such as video games. Meanwhile the rest of us not working for minimum wages, it isn't so much of a concern.

If you didn't constantly tweak the formula of any great series, many more people would claim the game is now unoriginal and stale. Also, they would say why play the sequel, its the same as the previous installments.
Point is, some change has to happen. If your the type that is an absolute fundamentalist and opposed to any amount of change (good or bad), just do yourself a favor and never buy a sequel to any game.
Um no the pc doesn't have halo (well the pc did get halo 1 and halo 2, but none since then) or Gears much like the pc doesn't doesn't have Uncharted or Mario series.

Console gamers wont pay over $99 for an accessory. They either 1.) have a small budget or 2.) use a console + do pc gaming (in which case they could just buy this $300-400 accessory for the pc).
Obviously you haven't played Uncharted 3, Halo 4, or Black Ops 2. They look amazing. Try having something look that good on 7 year old pc hardware. You wouldn't see it, because they don't optimize.

Suicide? Tell that to Nintendo where each system has never been BC (except for recently with the Wii). They never suffered any sales problem.
IMO, xbox shouldn't have a problem to doing disc BC, but doesn't seem likely at all the ps4 will be BC. I mean the current ps3 isn't BC, and now speculation is pointing to the ps4 not using the cell processor.

The 360 was BC for about 95% of the games.
Disagreed with Brit because backward compatibility has little to do with Blu-ray and everything to do with what type of cpu is used. If they go away from the cell like a lot of speculation, its almost guaranteed there's no BC.

Easy solution to get Windows 7. You build it yourself, pick up Windows 7, and save several hundred dollars.
By build I mean you open up about a dozen boxes, plug in the components (its so easy now all the plugs will only fit into the correct slot) and go. Watch one of 1,000+ youtube vids if uncertain.
