So by your definition, nearly every company is a "family" because they have similiar lines of products. MS has windows 8 phones, Nintendo has gameboys, etc. Its was a nice attempt to mask fanboyism, but ultimately it wasnt very convincing.

When the 360 was released it had a tri-core processor. All pcs then were dual-core. They are able to be ahead of the technology curve at release by way of being subsidized (selling console at a loss first few years).
Unlike nintendo where they need to have a day 1 profit on thier consoles.

Love this series, but as with majority of sci-fi, you really have turn part of your brain off to horrible plot holes that would never happen in reality. Ex: unarmed zombies with no capacity to stragize taking over every military and militia across the world? Um no zero chance for that to happen at all, unless the virus was airborne.

For casual and quirky nintendo games, the second screen can and does in several ways add to the gaming experience.
For the latest FPS game, I see it having little or no relevance. You can change it up and use the xbox-like controllers in that instance.
Not sure how you came to the made up conclusion that Epic has the magical power to force MS hand to double ram. Now its been written they highly recommended it, but sorry they cant force another company to do thier every bidding.

The highest end pcs currently dont benefit from more that 4GB. Imo 8GB is pretty dang future proof and it would be other components bottlenecking the system beyond 4GB like graphics and hard drive mainly.
Id def be up for playing it on day 1.

Thank goodness for that. If i want to play Halo I just just pop in the dlc from Halo reach and play it. I dont want that duplicated game experience.

HD is only a small portion of what wiiu offers. The Wii U doesnt have state of the art graphics but what it does offer is new experiences that previous nintendos couldnt do. For example, the new controller, hd, and different things going on in the background, interactions, all make up a fun experience.
$300 with 8 gig hard drive? Pretty sure the xbox and ps u get at least 250 gigs.

Not sure how playing a game on a 6.5" inch gamepad screen is any "better" (*hint btw it isn't. My 60" led tv is "better"). However, I do enjoy the additional game options on Mario bros games with it.
How is a Wii better when the WiiU plays the Wii games, plus does a lot of more (HD, improved controllers, online, 25G disks, etc).
The only somewhat valid point that you made no mention of would be the price/availablility of the Wii is better. Otherwise than that it is worse is every possible way.
