Knowing how games are nowadays "Cinematic Storytelling" means the opening cinematic is the only story you're getting! Followed closely by mandatory multy-player, mindless repetitive gameplay & pay-to-win microtransactions. Avengers, prove me wrong... please.
I'm of two minds on this one. If It's decent remaster with higher resolution assets all around, It's a day 1. If It's just a half@ssed upscale of the PS3 version (which I already own), I'll wait it out considering there's a chance the PS5 will be backwards compatible.

Impressive numbers ,but it also doesn't hurt that R* is dragging their heels on GTA6. What else are you gonna get for your GTA fix? It really should've been out by now, I guess they have 'top men' trying to figure out how to monetize car-jacking! LOL
I don't know if it was just the video I watched on YouTube or not, but the framerate looked less than stellar. It could have just been alpha gameplay though.
You could use a real estate analogy. Game companies have become like drug dealers preying on the weak minded and addicted. When a community gets rundown and overrun with 'addicts', it brings down the market value for all those nearby. The dealers aren't going to leave when they're making money hand over fist, and the addicts just can't stop themselves. So what's there to do other than report the problem and hope law/government fix it, or give up and move to another tow...

As a collector with hundreds of games, there will never be a digital only option for myself. It benifits only multi-million dollar corporations, as they hold all the cards. You never own anything digital... if they ban you / games gone (maybe not even be your fault), if the net goes down / games gone (locked out), if your hdd dies / games not only gone but will take days to re-download everything (instead of just reinstalling the disc). So I hope digital only consoles and games are far enough...
I have already played & platinumed it, and I enjoyed every second of it. I never found it tedious or repetitive, I enjoyed trying new weapons/tactics on enemies when I opened or bought them. If I could muster any complaints, it would be that some of the cutscenes seemed a little dis-jointed at times with odd fade outs & in. I'd be happy if they just remastered NFS:Underground 1 & 2, but that won't happen because there's no way to continuously monetize it. IMO they're never gonna top those anyway, there's too much nostalgia attached to em... GET LOW!, come on you know you wanna sing it. LOL
They could at least patch it to be playable offline (with or without A.l. bots), so people that bought it aren't left with a paperweight when they inevitably shut down the servers in less than a year. I think this should be standard practice for 'always online' games that CAN be played alone. It's a way for the devs to say thanks for the support, but we're moving on...you can still enjoy the game solo though.
Yes they do, from what I've played so far it definitely warrants a sequel. Next time use one of Sony's in-house engines though...maybe Horizon's?, it's one of the most capable I've seen this gen. It also looks like it wouldn't take too much to kick it up a notch for PS5.
