the pirates aren't the victims, it's the legitimate buyers who are the victims as they get lumbered with oppressive drm systems.
steam is great for downloadable games, but i cannot stand the way it infests disc games.
ownership of the disc should be all the proof that's needed that i own the game.
but then steam on disc games isn't about piracy is it, it's about killing the preowned market, something that's perfectly legal.
piracy is a problem, yes, but the publishers always blow it way out of proportion, and use it as an excuse for totalitarian, draconian, 100% anti consumer drm.
what makes it particularly stupid is drm does not even stop piracy, it increases it, you make it so the legitimate user has to jump through hoops while the pirates are happily playing and you've got a total failure of a security system.
yeah, pirates steal games, and they should be condemned for it...

that leads me to suppose that maybe scea sort out the rights so they can sell the game on the store, something scee clearly cant be bothered with, or just plain can't manage.
yeah, they like there games there, that's nice, they also treat women as little more than property there, not allowed to vote, not allowed to drive, and barely given any right at all, not so nice.
or the case where women who are raped get lashed and put in jail because the men who raped her weren't part of her family.

firstly, drm simply does not work, not for more than a few days it takes one hacker to break it, it many cases it can and will cause more piracy, and people who would never have pirated before will find themselves drawn to a pirate copy.

maybe you've only used the sixaxis pad, because the dual shock 3s are much sturdier, i've used both, and the weight isn't really an issue, whatever it weighs you get used to it, but the early sixaxis pads were flimsy as hell.
the ds3s are much tougher, trust me, i've thrown my fair share of joypads around in my time.

apart from the awful dpad, the fact the xbox pad isn't symmetrical is the main thing about it that bugs me.
