I hope they make the majority of the games compatible with a classic controller.
An 8/10 isn't a bad score. Some people here need to realize that reviewers this gen are a joke. Throwing out 9's and 10's like it's candy. Reviews have never been like that at any other time in gaming.
Besides, this game is trying a lot of new things, to be honest, I was expecting lower scores based on previews and whatnot.
It's gonna be a fun game. 8/10 is fine.

Oh man, I completely forgot about that game. You're absolutely right, it's such an awesome game. Everything about it just screams style and it's so damn fun.
Some of us enjoy grinding though. I don't think it's lazy story telling, it's a mechanic of a genre of games that appeals to a specific audience.
Look at Call of Duty online multiplayer. That to me is the biggest waste of time in the world. For the life of me I don't understand why so many people enjoy playing it. Contrary to what most people say, FFXIII is easily one of the more difficult games in the FF series. Granted, you won't have to do lots of side quests in order to beat the final boss but if you don't master the paradigm system, expect to have you butt handed to you on numerous occasions. I think a good entry level rpg for a ps3 owner would have to be,

Final Fantasy IX
Wild Arms

I love level grinding. I hate it when reviewers talk about how jrpg's are stuck in their ways and wrpg's are how it should be done. Some of us enjoy level grinding and having to save the princess/overthrow the empire in the majority of the games we play. There's nothing wrong with it!

The thing with motion plus is that it works with what, 2 games is all I know of.

I'm sure motion plus is good but it should have come with the wii. All it's done now is divided the user base and sadly, there hasn't been much of a division because there are so few games that use the 1:1 technology.

It's not dead. Third Birthday is coming out soon and so is the new Kingdom Hearts game. FFXIII Agito is coming next year (hopefully) and Valkyria Chronicles 2 is about to be released. Exclusive MGS game released this year, etc.

To each his own. If I could figure out how to play all the old lucasarts adventure games on windows vista then I would start playing games on my pc. It's a good game but it gets repetitive and predictable after a few hours. It's definitely worth 30 dollars though.

Yea, Namco Bandai is publishing it, GameRepublic are the ones who are developing it and some of the people on the team did work on Ico. The feature they had on Qore the other month made it look more like Zelda, and the director even said that Zelda was a big inspiration for the game. I plan on picking it up once it's released.
