DING DING DING
WE HAVE A WINNER
List is spot on. I throughly enjoyed FFXIII but Square Enix is a mere shell of it's former self. As for COD and GTA, pfffffffffffffffffffffffffff (sound of a wet fart)
I hear what you're saying and I agree with you in your points, but what I've seen just doesn't sit right. I don't view Samus as this ultra badass with no emotions or personality but at the same time I never viewed her as the person that I've seen in the footage so far.
I've been playing Metroid games as long as I can remember and I think I knew the justin bailey code before I knew the Contra code. Does it make me ignorant for not wanting to play Other...
But why now? If this game was a prequel all these things would have made complete sense. But it's not a prequel. Samus has already saved the galaxy like 5 times over. I find it stupid, and if this is how samus is going to be from now on then I'll just stick with the old games.
Well, I kind of worded that wrong. It wasn't necessarily the reviews themselves, (gametrailers scored it high) it's the footage I saw of how Samus is being portrayed. It just seems stupid to me.
Samus has been saving the galaxy since day 1 but now she has all these issues which have never been brought up before and shes afraid of ridley. This is the second to the last game in the storyline, so she's already fought ridley 4 times. Why would she be scared of him? <...
I wasn't really keeping up to date on the news with this game cause I didn't want any spoilers, but now that I've seen how the story is and how they've portrayed samus, I don't want anything to do with it.
I'm all for a good story but it really seems like they've ruined the mysteriousness that has been around Samus since the NES. I'm gonna pass on this one.
Not a disaster in the sense that videogaming as a whole will crash but that companies will go under due to oversaturation and low sales.
It's pretty much what happened to SEGA, they released so much garbage at the end of the genesis life cycle, coupled with the fact that the majority of the great saturn games never left japan & the system cost $100 more than the playstation, etc.
This stuff has already happened to developers this gen. Factor 5, Midway...
The majority of the games on there should have been from the NES/SNES/Genesis era. Bosses and games in general were way more difficult then they are these days.
I love how people act as if videogames are using up all the resources in the world.
What about books, newspapers, plastic bags and paper bags at grocery stores. Paper receipts, toilet paper, etc.
Physical content isn't going anywhere.
If anything, game companies want digital distribution so they can control the price and not have to worry about used game sales.
Plus, streaming media isn't full HD. Just like mp3's ...
At first I thought this was about Harker. That game seemed like it was going to be cool. I have no idea what Huxley is.
I was on the fence for this game, but after reading the g4 review and watching the game trailers review, I have no desire to play it. It looks they're ruining Samus as a character and I don't care to experience that. I'll just stick with Metroid Pime and Super Metroid.
Ha. Well, the game doesn't stink. The GOW series are fun but they are extremely over rated and not the be end all of hack and slash. I normally don't really care about things like this but it's annoying because Lords of Shadow is shaping up to be a great title and all the GOW fanboys are coming into these threads and bashing in for the sake of bashing it.
Is that all you do? Go around Castlevania stories and talk about GOW?
Enough with the GOW comparisons. GOW is so freaking overrated. Yes, the graphics are good and the first game was pretty fun but it's been the same thing with 2, COO & 3. It's the same rinse-repeat gameplay and Kratos is easily one of the worst characters ever. All he does is scream.
"ARES!!" "ZEUS!!" "ATHENA!!" "I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!!"
bleh
what the hell?
Are people still saying that the move isn't accurate? LOL
Go watch the dozens upon dozens of tech demo videos out there.
3ds doesn't seem to be failing, it looks freaking awesome.
Don't be a fanboy.
Anyone with half a brain knows that Move features some stunning tech behind the device and is gonna be an excellent motion controller if put to good use. Also, everyone with half a brain knows that the 3ds is gonna be awesome and will possibly help propel 3d gaming into the living room.
Assassins Creed is pretty lousy. It's been around since 2007 and how many games are in the series? 5 that I know of. How many versions have scored well, 1.
It's batting at a .20 as far as I'm concerned.
Ubisoft is overrated as F**K imo. I never understood how they became such a prominent studio. Their games are more often than not mediocre as hell.
Looks alot like SOtC, which is not a bad thing.
This game is gonna be awesome. Sleeper hit of the year is my prediction. Kinda like Arkham Asylum last year.
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."
The have it on disc in asia. It's called SIREN: New Translation. I have it, it's uncensored but the differences are few and far between.

It's only $25. Not a bad price, I really enjoy the game.
The shooting is nothing remarkable in the Uncharted series, but the platforming and story are top notch and it's what sets them apart from the rest of the tps cover shooters.
