The PS3 had little to do with MS extending the warranty. The 360 was being investigated by the Federal Trade Commission and was possibly looking at a mandated recall. Yes Rockstar allows Sony teams to come in and assist in engineering. The same way Epic allowed MS people to coach them on the 360 for Gears. What rock have you been living under? Sony had personnel there to assist in the technical aspects and provide instruction and advice on how better to utilize the PS3's capabilities.

Why not? How many articles did they post saying the 360 was getting a BR drive when the articles themselves offered no proof? People including the articles authors had zero proof but they made the proclamation anyway and tons of fanbots sucked it up.
