The Witcher 3 - employ various tactics, techniques, and timing in combat.
AC Valhalla - button mash your way to victory. All of Ubi's title have for quite some time been moving toward simplicity.
@seanpitt23,
Yeah, agreed. One of those games I wish I could replay it again like it was the first time and it isn't an Ubi title.
AC Combat has been trash after AC III. Despite a lot of people not liking it, Connor used finesse and technique in fights. Intricate. Now AC combat is just a big messy brawl. And the fetch quests in AC games are the worst. I feel like the damn Chickenhawk.
Deathloop and Psychonauts? Weren't those purchased in progress? Deathloop is on Xbox? Its a PS/PC title. Psychonauts is multiplat. Flight Sim is a PC game that came to Xbox. If you only own an Xbox, not a gaming PC, where is the benefit? I have a PS5 (2) a Series X and a One X. But the benefit in the latter 2 ain't there. Excusing them only makes the situation worse. You should be demanding more.
Well danny that's cause he scored it for himself. If you read road and track or car and driver they don't review vehicles on the needs of their own family. They might mention it but they review vehicles for the consumer. For other people. This is just another person with an overinflated ego. I hope some of the comments here put a pin in it. Many smart gamers don't care what someone else thinks about a game. If they like it they like it. They may not tell anyone else, but they like...
Agreed. Now imagine being a website that claims to be a part of the gaming community and you help spread the word on piracy under the guise of, "It's news." Anything for a click for some of these sites. Earlier today Kotaku was trending on twitter for this story, and getting ratioed into the ground for it. But anything for a click.
Spot on advice from Eonjay. While my TV was off in sleep mode it would go onto the net periodically to check for updates. It kept turning on my PS5. Same thing happened with my PS4 Pro.
If you want to know how some people look at games, take a gander at the article. It doesn't even discuss race or anything of the sort. It's asking about the time looping. You know the actual game. But some people just can't get past other things. All they see is color or controversy which is a bit ridiculous when you consider the gameplay in these two titles doesn't have a duck fart to do with that. I applaud the writer for ignoring something that doesn't matter.
"As stated I like them both, but because there's a change of pace AND HUMOR, I give Deathloop the edge."
No, this is what you said.
"I'm giving Deathloop the edge because of the humor and a black protagonist/antagonist."
Your change of pace is race. You excluded it in your reply and stuck in change of pace. It's race for you. End of story. It's there in black and white just like the reviews that rated...
I rather know that. Sites like that do not write an article without putting controversy at the top of the checklist used to construct the article. It isn't about creative journalism but site traffic. With that I gotta say that even if they were getting tons of traffic I just do not think people at that site have any integrity or an understanding of the service press in a given field is supposed to provide.
Wait, is there a different HALO Infinite test flight other than the one I played? I played on both PC and Series X. There was the odd little glitch here and there and one game dropped but overall it was really stable, engrossing to play, looked fantastic, and was a hell of a lot of fun. Most of all, it felt like HALO. BTB was a blast.
I swear every time kotaku put out an article they get more and more out of step with gamers.
Steam was doing something that hadn't been done on such a scale for PC. They had to do all the trial and error. All the research. All Epic had to do was copy and improve. If they were not in a position where they were losing hundreds of millions of dollars we likely wouldn't see this. From the beginning they have needed to be browbeaten into doing basic things and offering basic services.
Outside of the Switch mention issue, I just really like the game. I think they did a great job. They could handle the new game the same way they are handling the new movie. Pay homage to the past, keep a hold on that heritage while bringing something new unlike that ridiculous movie from a few years ago. I just don't see them doing it right.
Deathloop. No thanks. On the other hand best game I played in September and one of the best games I have played in a while is Tails of Iron. It might sound odd but a lot of other people have said the same thing, only a short time into the game and suddenly this feeling of Game of Thrones comes over you. Really recommend this.
Really? Raiden? Did the writer mean to say playable Protagonists? No one, and I mean no one in the series sacrificed more than Ocelot. Beginning with his career and ultimately his life, he gave all.
"@sinspirit Understood. I'm just not ruling out the posibilitiy of some desperate or overambitious moves on Sony's part right now"
The fact you use the word 'desperate' shows where your argument is really coming from and why. Do you really think given their position Sony is doing anything desperate. One thing industry experts agree on is Sony has been anything but desperate. Their moves have been very calculated and somewhat low key. Desperate move...
