Nope - shooters are rarely original to begin with, the originality of LBP was what made it so great, not it's fantastic polish or super-tight responsiveness in gameplay nor it's ease of use. There is less originality in LBP2, a lot of originality still, but not as much.
A 9 is fantastic, get over it guys.

I doubt this game looks anyway near as good as 99% of games releasing today, even with the mods, you're over exaggerating.
But, anyway:
1. Developers have deadlines and they need to do other things apart from graphics
2. The modders have hindsight in graphics-design choices that have been proved bad by other games that have come out in that time
3. The technology they are modding these games for are much newer than that of the computers th...

Yeah the textures weren't all that but when viewed as a whole it was a beautiful game...
I don't have them. Played the first briefly and disliked it, same with the second. If this is £20 or less in the UK I might give it a shot I guess, I've just never been enticed by it - especially the story which I thought was just plain cheesy and boring.
Yeah that's why they're allowing people to modify kinect for PCs. If they were all in for the $$ they would sue the companies for modifying kinect. Instead they left it open and encourage the mods and hacks.
I read they said it would not have anything Gears 3 related such as a beta in it.

Disappointment is something that came out worse than you'd expected. So yeah from your description it was a disappointment.
There's no need to be insulting. I was just disappointed because today's sale pales in comparison to the rest, I probably expected too much I guess. I was just hoping for at least a few new deals. If you look at my other posts over the past couple of weeks related to these Steam sales you'd realise I'm very appreciative, but I was just disappointed today.

I agree but free content is DLC, it is still downloadable content. DLC doesn't mean premium.
Hahaha no Mass Effect 2 will not be considered for game of the year again, possibly nominated for PS3 game of the year but not overall whatsoever. It'll be overshadowed by new games anyway, as much as I absolutely loved Mass Effect 2.
Games will be pushed back. Second half of 2010 looked to be absolutely amazing until like 10 games were pushed back into early next year, then some of those into late next year etc etc.
