Jeez the great reviews just keep on coming! Sony has lined up the first few months of 2017 with enough great games to keep me busy for quite some time. I'll get Nier day one as I loved the demo and I want to show support where it deserves it. I'm taking my time with HZD though at the moment but I love adding great games to my collection.

I loved Red Faction: Guerrilla! The follow up to it was horrible though and I can't even remember it's name.
That's strange as the Samsung UN65KS9000 has to be in game mode for HDR to work when playing games. There are a few settings to adjust but it's really easy and I absolutely love the tv!

I recently just completed The Witcher 3 and still have the two large expansions to tackle. As for now I'm firmly hooked into Horizon. Those two are by far the best "open world" games I've played as the content and worlds are so ripe with detail.
I would say HZD and Nioh just two of the best regardless of platform. These are just great games...period!
It is just as developed and fleshed out as the Witcher so it makes complete sense. I love Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and I just completed the first Cauldron in HZD and all I can say is WOW. This game just keeps getting better and better!

Really I thought they did a fantastic job setting up Aloy's story and from her animations as a child and her facial expressions to her ties with Rost to her training for the proving have me caring deeply for her as a character. I wasn't expecting much from the story but so far it has blown me away.
@Goldby I agree. Even my wife pointed out how cute she was when she moved and I really feel for her plight. They really outdid themselves with this game.
It's amazing especially if you have a 4K HDR 10 bit panel tv. It's not just the way it looks either but for me it's the world and the characters that bring it all to life. It's also just freaking fun to play! I love the crafting mechanics and choosing which upgrades to go with. To me the best "open world" or just game in general was The Witcher 3 but now I've got to say HZD has taken that title. At least for me.
I love the art direction, character design, the lore, the world is so detailed(there are cutter ants carrying leafs on some of the trees) and it feels so alive with so many animals, fish and machines roaming the landscape and swimming in the streams and rivers. Whether there are price cuts for all the hardware selections I'm not sure but you can be sure there will be updates on all the upcoming games and maybe a few we haven't seen yet. I'm excited as Sony blew me away last June!
I would've settled for a console on par with the current crop of consoles. As it is since the WII Nintendo has tried to innovate in different ways but I think they would be more competitive if they were on the same playing field as the others as they could get true third party games. Here's the thing I love amazing looking visuals as is evidenced by HZD and it's not native 4K but my eyes don't care. It's also an AMAZING game and it's just one of many. Games are what will ALWAYS win out. ALWAYS. Now Microsoft go and create a few must play games and I'll buy a Scorpio. Stay the course and I won't.
