I would like to see him come work with Sony. They seem to be open to different and innovative things.
@JackBNimble you hit the nail on the head. I'm just 4 years younger than you and to play games now that actually give you an emotional response is astounding. My wife watched me play through The Last of Us and cried quite a few times. She watched me beat every Uncharted and she's also watching me play Horizon because she says it's so beautiful on our 4K 10 bit HDR panel. She is into the story and I can assure you you wouldn't have done this just a few gens ago. To me it comes ...
You know what gets me is the hate that Sony or PlayStation's fans get when they talk about how great the games are or how great Sony's strategy is. It's like folks are bitter or something and instead of jut getting a PS4, Slim or Pro they complain that modern gaming sucks. Because the crop of games that have just hit the past few months had something for everyone to enjoy.
I could care less about console wars or fanboys arguments or gaming culture or whatever you'd call it but as far as games these last few gens have produced games that effected me on an emotional level. it does seem now more than ever that being cynical and entitled is the cool thing to be.
I think it would've fared better on the PS4 myself.
Man after the GameCube I learned my lesson. At least wit it there were ports of major third party titles and games like RE Remake RE0 and RE4 but Mario and Zelda can only take me so far. Well I got caught up in the hoopla and got a WII and thats when I finally decided it was over. I'm giving it till this holiday season to see how it fares and if any games that are worth my time or I'm passing. Which is sad because I grew up on Nintendo but I've spent enough cash through the years ...
In other news Nier Automata is amazing!. I thought Scalebound looked cool though.
That's another thing the fact thar it's only a hundred cheaper than a Pro really put me off. I was always a diehard big N fan but after being burned by the GameCube I'm sorry I don't care about motion controls on games tha look like garbage and I don't care about going portable. All I know is it's gonna take more than Zelda and Mario to do the liffting for me to buy it. I should've stopped at the GameCube but like an idiot I got a WII but that's where it ended....
That's why I've decided to hold off on either the Switch or the Scorpio till this holiday. As it is I like Nintendo's exclusives better than Microsoft's(I was over Halo in o4) but we'll see. I'm holding out hope the big N drops a Metroid title at E3. Either way my Pro is keeping me more than happy and we're are looking for another console but the kids had an Xbone three Christmas's ago and returned it now they game on my day one PS4 butso we'll see what hap...
It's not helping me want to buy one. Also one game even if it is Zelda won't make me buy it. It's gonna take many, many games to make that happen. Same with Scorpio.
Yeah there's a long road ahead.
People won't to be offended then they will find a way to be offended. I got know hint of controversy from this game at all. People there are things to be upset about but this isn't one of them.
I predict this will be another new IP hit for Sony. Maybe not as successful as HZD but still successful nonetheless!
Clock Tower game me nightmares but in a good way. I know the game I'm about to mention doesn't belong in with these great game but I also loved nightmare Creatures!
It's up in there air for me if I get a Switch or Scorpio and EXCLUSIVES will be what decides that for me. I don't care if the Scorpio is native 4K, the Pro is fine as far as I'm concerned but it will be games. I know the Xbone has games but none of them have made me feel like I'm missing anything. I'm hoping at E3 Microsoft unleashes games and not just specs on Scorpio.
Good point. I grew up on Nintendo and while I'm sure Breadth of the Wild is fantastic and the new Mario looks interesting I want something new from them. I'm gonna give it till this holiday to decide. At this point though Nintendo is ahead. I know I said want new IPS and I do but if at E3 they drop a Metroid bomb then it's all over!
I think there are gonna be a few titles that will release in the holiday season that will be exceptional.
I loved the original Fable! I remember going to Hastings and picking it up and be so excited to get home to play it! Sure it was everything Peter said it would be but I didn't care now the others they were OK but I stopped at two.
Great news as which one comes out with the best new IPS will be the system I buy. Either the Switch or Scorpio.
I'm pretty sure God Of War will have game play at E3. I cannot wait
