This game is gonna bring it in spades! I love when a new IP hits and looks as interesting as Horizon does. The main thing I read from the earliest preview builds of the game was how well Alloy controlled which is great. Then the lore, the detailed world, amazing creatures and characters wrap it up into a must buy package for me!
Welp with that mentality then the new God of War isn't a God of War game. Different perspective and more story driven. RE7 was exactly what the franchise needed.
I read an article about Sweet Home in Game Informer a few months back and it was a cool read.
I had no issue with Trico at all. Sure the control scheme is of the older variety but I think it added something to it. The camera would get wonky when in tight corridors but never in important moments. This is a very niche game and only certain people will appreciate it and that's fine. One of the most charming gaming experiences I've ever had.
We have been asking for years for Capcom to bring back the horror and boy have they delivered. I've been taking it slow and just taking it all in I believe I'm nearing the end and as soon as I finish I'm going back in on Madhouse difficulty.
I don't know why people get hung up on the perspective. Third person made it less scary to me. Look at the new God of War, new perspective and a more story driven narrative. So is it not a God of War game? Well of course it is. That's how silly this whole uproar over the perspective is.
I love this game and I finally came across the Molded and put one down with a handgun but when I ran out of bullets I took it down with only a knife and got a trophy. The last one brought me down so I crawled to my severed foot and reattached it to stop from bleeding out. Now I'm on the run lol.
It is pretty freaking awesome! So well done and I relly like the rural setting and the plantation. Well my wife just left for work and said when she gets I'd better be playing so she can watch lol.
Why explain...I'm serious. Not trolling I want to know why you consider it a non RE game.
Man am I enjoying this game! My wife even stayed up watching it. We looked up and it was 12pm and we were like we need to sleep, we got to get the kids to school. I love the new perspective and can't wait to get further in.
Edit: I seen a few, not many saying man it's cool but it's not a RE game. So if it had a convoluted story, static convenience store cameras and pre rendered backgrounds and had a macho hero it would be considered a RE game? C'mon be serio...
I'm picking mine up tonight. I can't wait!
I'm just as excited for Nioh, Nier, Person 5, Kingdom Hearts 11.2 HD, Tales of Berseria, Berzerk etc. Also Gravity Rush 2 is awesome!
Edit: While I do love my AAA titles the ones I mentioned above have me just as excited. You are right as we have games(God of War, Spider Man, Death Stranding, Days Gone, Detroit) to look forward to in 2018 and beyond. Again Sucker Punch has a new IP in development and to be sure there are more coming which with whats already been announc...
No heavy hitters huh. You do know the games that have been announced and then there's the dum dum dum unannounced games. When Scorpio hits there will be price cuts ro Slim and Pro bundles as well as PSVR new games. They have more than a few tricks up their sleeves.
rest assured.
Sony is ready for what ever Microsoft has coming there is no question. Sure Xbots will buy the Scorpio and maybe some more early adopters but if they don't change course and I mean quick, hardware won't amount to a hill of beans if there aren't MUST play games. It's just the way it is. Also all this talk of the Scorpio destroying E3, really people seem to think that Sony won't have killer games already shown with release date as well as unannounced games. Plus like you sai...
The Wii had killer sales but not because of power or killer IP's. The argument now is power vs games and in every case games win out. I mean come on nursing homes had Wii's. The fact is PS4 isn't selling because of gimmicks or trying to bring in people who really don't play. They are selling because of the IP's they produce. Again the TITLE SAID SOFTWARE VS HARDWARE.
The Wii was underpowered and was almost like a once in a lifetime thing. It's sales didn't just come from gamers but from everyone but like I said that won't happen for a long time. Ps4 has the games and lots of them, the Xbox not so much. Also the Title says Sony's software vs Microsoft's Hardware so.....
Edit: A better example would be PS2 vs Xbox as the title is about software vs hardware. Again Sony's vs Microsoft's.
Well Re7 is the first AAA title to utilize it and then Far Point coming. I have a feeling E3 will have even more. It's far from done, hell it's just getting started.
I've been hearing 10 to 13 hours and I play slow so I might stretch it out even more. I can get mine Monday ans boy am I ready.
Killer software will win out every time.
I agree with him on quite a few things in particular the 4K broadcasting as I have dish and there are only a few PPV channels that do 1080P most are 1080i or 720P. I love my 4K tv though and do look forward to more content. As it is right now the Pro is good enough and the games that are out or are coming while they may not be native 4K they look absolutely beautiful, Horizon, Nioh, Mass Effect, God of War, Uncharted 4, Days Gone and so on. The buffer between gens seems smart as well.
