yeah this is the sort of thing that leads to our nice things getting taken away.
"Why doesn't EA/Dice have the balls to show real console footage? It's a fair question. "
Because they have four months until the game releases and they don't need to blow their load right this moment because every gamer has the typical gimme-gimme-gimme attitude.
We've mostly seen pre-alpha code from the primary platform. You REALLY need to just be patient.
Besides, who the HELL needs FOUR MONTHS to scrutinize the ...
I respectfully disagree
There's a ton of youtube off screen videos of the multiplayer demo.
Meh.
This guy obviously isn't "professional."
hacking because of some stupid as hell sense of morals, then attention whoring himself once it didn't leave a big enough impact.
He either already slipped up or will soon. Twitter barely makes a difference. In fact, it'll probably make the investigation much easier.
They showed it during the live E3 footage. Go check the Riccitiello interview on game trailers or the article where he responds to Kottick saying the same thing you're saying.
And to even the field here: Where's the MW3 PC footage?
I'm well aware of that Giant_Chibi.
The point is, divisions don't always act 100% independently. There are goals the company as a whole wants to accomplish, and Sony, as a whole, clearly is an electronics company (overall/generally/relatively/ you pickin' up what I'm puttin' down?)
From their PCs to their TVs, to their consoles and to their portables. They're all geared toward tech heads primarily.
I can't wrap my...
yeah I understand.
But do you really think these people are that incompetent? They know the laws, they know what they need for a conviction. If they didn't have evidence, they wouldn't have a case, and nobody would have been arrested (in which a judge probably had to sign off on a warrant based on the evidence).
Besides, they don't want to get media attention just to reveal that they have some innocent kids in custody. That's real bad publicit...
"Say goodbye to your casual and young audience."
I'm sure third parties will be happy to continue releasing easy-to-develop games for the Wii audience.
He said in an interview on Game Trailers that if you watched the Live footage, they had a little marker in the corner showing what system was being shown.

The video they show is perfect. It's CLEARLY not running a 580 GTX, which is what their PC is using. They haven't even maxed it out on PC, for the record.
Multiplayer FPS n multiplayer FPS
More like comparing one type of apple to another...
Running?
HAH!
Releasing two weeks before COD's release, and having advertisments during sports events in April (for a game that releases in October....), is not running.
What you're doing is trolling though, that much I can identify :D

catguykyou, they checked TWO MILLION LINES OF IRC CHAT
I'm sure they found more than admissions of being Anonymous. Anonymous are not some secret society of expert hackers. They are not infallible.
All they have going for them is confidence. And you KNOW that doesn't solve all your problems (such as their problem with the Technological Investigation Brigade)
Yeah don't people watch E3 anymore?
They clearly said that.
Besides, this just gives them an excuse to release a patch or update or peripheral and increase consumer awareness and interest.
Like that damned PS2 emulator I'm sure PS3 will get some day.........
Because Sony makes more techy hardware than Nintendo, so people expect more from them.
Nintendo is strictly "video games"
Sony is "electronics"
Should be pretty clear.
three person co-op
Sully, Drake, Elena
Niiiiiiiiice
"It may have been the worst press conference in E3's history. "
Maybe... but there are plenty of worse moments. That much is for sure

4-6 hour campaign for your $60 investment?
Sounds harsh
Why don't you check out the article, watch the video, get to know what kind of context we're talking about. Better than reading the title and gushing out some thought
He gets asked at the end of the video, and the guy says "Well... Uh, actually, to be honest, I don't have a number - yet; because the game is not done yet. To me the game could be (hesitates) anything from 6,7,8 to 10 hours depending on what we net out once we're done."

FredEffinChopin, I feel the same way about a lot of N4G comments (including my own!).
Everybody gets a say.
